When I pulled up to the Inn my heart sank - the building looks like your standard motel, but it's not. The layout is motel like, but the rooms are exceptional. Mine was absolutely spotless with all the luxury touches to enjoy - a fluffy bath robe, gorgeous linen on the bed, luxury toiletries in the bathroom, plenty of towels,... More

Where many small town independent motels are so-so, the proprietors of this fine establishment have brought luxury accommodations where one might least expect it. For business or for pleasure, you will have a comfortable relaxing night. This was a return trip for us and we plan to come again.

My husband and I stayed at the Water's Edge Inn for one night and it was great! The beds, room and toiletries were just as good as more expensive hotels. The small rooms are very nicely decorated - very clean, simple, and modern. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. But the best part is the view- the 200 rooms... More

If a beautiful river-side setting, delightful bright rooms, with pleasing up to date bathrooms, glorious beds and linens, and gracious hosts, matter to you, THIS is where you need to stay! We arrived in Campbellford, on a rare bright and beautiful day at the very end of October, after weeks of dull, dark and cold weather -- and were delighted... More

My husband and I, and several of our friends, had the occasion to stay at the Water's Edge while we were in the area for a summer cottage wedding. To be honest, we didn't have high expectations for local motel lodgings, so imagine our surprise when we pulled up to the inn. First of all, it looked wonderful from the... More

This was my second stay at the Waters Edge, and things just get better! Quality accommodation with those extra touches that just make a difference. Beautiful bed linen on the king-size bed, fridge for chilling your wine, coffee maker and even a small microwave. The real bonus of course is the location - as the name suggests, this motel is... As someone who travels a lot in the big chains (more towards the discount world) it is great to find a jewel. As I write this I am staring at a black glass Trent Severn river, not 4 metres from my window. It is very late November at nine p.m. and the river is silently drifting and reflecting a few... More
