We stayed in one of the cabins the cabins are showing thier age and not worth the $115.00 CAA rate or 125.00 with out this was in the off season, 2nd week of october should be around 89.00 would be fair at this time of year. The dresser and sitting table has a lousy TV that you had to jiggle to... I write this as we are spending our second night at the Cove Motel. We were here two nights ago on our way to Cape Breton Island, and after staying on CBI one night and driving the Cabot Trail - we changed our plans to spend a second night up there, and instead came back here. The rooms are clean,... More

We stayed in the motel part, not the cabins. Room was average - clean and looked like it had been renovated recently. We made use of the laundry facilities on site which were handy. Did not eat at the restaurant as it seemed pricy and we were not hungry for a big meal. The location is nice, surrounded by water... More

My husband, brother-in-law and I recently spent 2 nights at The Cove Motel while on a 2 week motorcycle tour of Canada's Maratime provinces. This was our 2nd time staying here. The first time we had one of the rooms facing the causeway that are attached to the restaurant. This time we had one of the small free standing cabins... More

After staying at the super gross Jacques Cartier motel in Sydney, we were happy to come to the Cove Motel, where we had a free-standing cabin-style bungalow that had a cozy rustic feel. The bathroom was a little problematic, as the shower was teeny tiny (and we are small people) and the curtain constantly blows inward and sticks to your... More

We picked this Motel after reading the reviews. What a mistake! The cabin smelled of cat urine and we were told it was from this new disinfectant their were using, yeah right! The restaurant was way over priced and the service was incredibly slow...it took them 10 minutes to set a table for 5, not because it was busy, it... More

I did not know that quality Mom and Pop motels even existed anymore. This place was great. Rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and roomy. I think I got the best night's sleep ever on their comfortable bed. The attached restaurant has the best food in Nova Scotia and the front desk staff treated us... More

We had a great one-night stay at the Cove. Everyone was delightful and helpful. The restaurant right on the water with a view of the causeway was probably the only "waterfront" rstaurant we found in the area. The food was good with excellent service.

We arrived at the Canso Causeway late on a drizzly, rainy Monday, and decided not to camp for the night. The Tourist Bureau found us a cabin at the Cove Motel. The cabin was very clean, beds comfortable, decor rather rustic. Staff was friendly and helpful, and as an extra surprise, the restaurant seafood was gourmet quality.

We were on our way to Baddeck to tour the Cabot Trail on motorcycles, and we were behind schedule because of the rainy weather. It was beginning to get dark and we needed a place to stay for the night. We seen the sign for the Cove Motel and decided to stop. What a treat it was, the ladies at... More
