A weekend getaway at Seawind Landing to celebrate our anniversary was a most memorable experience. The innkeepers, David and Ann Marie, are graciously caring hosts, the setting is breathtaking and – last, but certainly not least – the food is artfully presented and absolutely delicious. It’s obvious that Ann Marie and David have a passion for being innkeepers and truly... More

Drove a couple of hours to get here, have to eat at the inn as did not see anywhere within half our either direction where could go. However in a stunning location and shame had only one night en route to the airport. Room was in an annex and shame that weather per others was really poor as views would... More

Went for a drive into Guysborough County last week to do some exploring and hiking...hadn't been around the county in awhile except for attending Stanfest a few times. We were reminded how beautiful and rugged it is along the coast. Not too many tourists around so the traffic was light and we could engage in some serious rubbernecking. What a... More

Good thing the hosts here were hospitable, because it was POURING rain, all day, and we could do little more than sit around their lounge to chat, read, play scrabble, and drink beer!  Our ROOMS were all in a different building, but -fortunately- we were the only guests there that night and were therefore able to monopolize the common area... Thank you for taking the time to write about your visit to us in Charlos Cove. We remember it well as it was indeed a very, very rainy night in late October! We're sorry that you didn't enjoy your room. With the early offering to you of our off season rate of $99 for any room, we had hoped that... More

Definitely the place to get away from it all - very quiet. Having driven 6 hours to get here it was a welcome to relax and enjoy the peace. Dave & Ann-marie were the perfect hosts - very helpful with ideas and their own handmade booklet of places to visit is really helpful. More than anywhere else in Nove Scotia... More

We drove from Truro Nova Scotia to Sheet Harbour and stopped at the info center there. We were told that there was only one place to stay and eat and that was at Charlos Cove. We called and asked if there were any rooms available that night. The woman answering told us that since no one was there that night... More

This hotel was really a surprise! Located at a perfect spot on the seaside. Very nice rooms, decorated with beautiful paintings, excellent dinner and breakfast (Also glutenfree !!). The hosts are doing everything to make your stay comfortable. We couldn't think of a better place to 'survive' hurricane Irene (or what was left of it...:)

We spent our final night in Canada at this lovely place. Dave and Ann-Marie are welcoming and friendly hosts of this splendid property. Our comfortable room was on the 1st floor of the annexe with a balcony which gave views across the cove to some nearby islands. There are several walks around the property and the beach is easily accessible.... More

We stayed in room 2 (Morning Light) our choice of two rooms we were offered. The inn is beautifully situated on a headland with views across the bay,a private beach and lots of walking paths around the grounds. Our room was comfortable with an en suite and shower over the bath plus complementary toiletries. There was free wi fi (with... More
