We spent 1 night at the Pilot Whale B&B and were greatly impressed by how accomodating and easy going the hosts were. They were quite helpful in showing us the area and letting us know of any spots to check out. After a long day of travelling, we had a nice quiet night's sleep and awoke to the decadent smell... From a phone call late one Feb afternoon, to the breakfast of French toast, our 3 year old son and his parents were made welcome. The jet tub and bubble bath were a great hit. The veiws and hospitality were excellent.

My wife and I stayed at this B&B for two nights. We had a very nice time there. The log house is quite impressive, especially considering the owner built it! Breakfast was really nice. Had eggs and French toast, and they had a selection of 5 different homemade jams. I tried every kind on a different piece of bread -... More

Charming hostess and host. Comfortable rooms. This is one of those places that you 'discover', and want to return to. The breakfast was yummy, and the host and hostess very helpful with travel tips and ideas of places to visit in the area.

Our hosts were warm, friendly and helpful; the house is beautifully finished and maintained; the breakfasts hearty and delicious.

Abuut all I can say is that the room was very clean as well as the bathroom. But, the room was very sparse with little comfort afforded for the "famed" Cabot Trail reputation. Soap bars were broken and could not be used. Breakfast was equally sparse with little attention given to the guests by the owner. One got the definite... More

I enjoyed the Pilot Whale B&B. It serves as a nice starting point for Highlands National Park and provides you with a true Canadian experience in that you stay in close quarters with the hosts. We found the owners very accomodating and enjoyable, true locals. The husband (Johnny) will gladly take you out to lobster or crab fish with him... More

I was hugely disappointed with the Pilot Whale - although the rooms were nice and the location was decent, the behaviour of the hosts almost ruined our trip. Upon arriving we confirmed with the hostess whether or not there was a curfew, and she assures us that we could come in at any time. The next day, my partner was... More

Many B&Bs are like inns, where the rooms are removed from the living quarters of the family. The Pilot Whale B&B is true to the original B&B concept - you are occupying a few rooms in someone's home. We had two of the three rooms they let. One was upstairs, near the master and with an adjacent but not ensuite... More
