We stayed at The Water's Edge with another couple as part of our annual trip to Cape Breton for the International Celtic Colours Festival. This small hotel is beautifully located on the water's edge of the Bras d'Or Lakes. It has an intimate gallery featuring works for sale by Maritimes artists, which is fun to browse even if you are... My wife and I just spent a couple of days in Baddeck and were lucky to get a room at Water's Edge, Rm. 5, and were very happy with our accommodations. Fantastic view and the room seemed like it was brand new. Our room had a nice deck which overlooked the bay and the Amoeba, which if you have the... More

Very helpful staff and friendly. Nice breakfast including home baking and ample food to start the day. Had few wifi problems but they corrected this after letting them know. Very clean room - the room at back of property is not very big and if larger waterfront facing room was available, we would have preferred the extra size - still,... More

Enjoyed our stay at Waters Edge. Room was well appointed, large, very clean, and bed was super comfortable. We had a porch that faced the lake, which is directly across the street. The gallery, which is part of the inn, has the best offerings of local artists we have seen. Location is great, you can walk the main street or... More

The rooms at the Waters Edge a spacious and modern with balconies overlooking the lake. Staff are helpful and the art gallery / crafts store on the ground floor is worth a wander. The homemade breakfast is tasty if limited. Good for couples wanting a comfy stay.

I'm sitting on our deck at the Water's Edge Inn, looking at boats bobbing in the harbor, as the sun sets on our last night here. It's been a wonderful five days in Baddeck, highly due to having the luck to find this bit of heavenly lodging. Jeremy greeted us with his friendly manner when we arrived, and Mairi has... More

We cannot say enough good about our stay here at The Water's Edge Inn in Baddeck. A must stay location. Situated directly across from the warf and room #5 (booked due to a review we read on TripAdvisor) on the third floor had a spectacular view. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Warmly welcomed and given great recommendations (Bell Buoy Restaurant... More

We stayed for three nights at the Waters Edge and were delighted with the room. the furnishings, the art on the walls, the fine linens, cleanliness and overall comfort. The Breakfast was more than a continental with waffles, fruit, cereals, good coffee and tea, and homemade breads, muffins, and fruit loaves. The staff even insisted we take muffins for our... More

The town of Baddeck and this Inn was a perfect stop for a good nights rest after driving around the Cabot Trail. The view was great, beds very comfortable, rooms were clean and spacious. The continental breakfast served in the morning was locally made and tasty. The location and staff were superb, I highly recommend.

My girlfriend and I were on a last-minute road trip to the Cabot Trail, and we stumbled on the Water's Edge. They had one room available so we took it. The room was comfortable and clean, and Wanda the cleaning lady was extra helpful. They gave us tips on the best places to see around the area, and had a... More
