My wife and I both enjoyed a few days at the the lodge. Barbe arrange for a FF guide and the gals in the kitchen prepared our catch for all the guests. All the meals are communal, we like it. The other travelers there were pleasant to meet and chat with. We liked our room, it was clean and comfortable.

very well decorated rooms. Did an awesome job arranging for prepackaged lunches. Somewhat buggy outside. One of the best breakfasts we ever had

Since meals are served in a common dining room with two long tables, we got the chance to speak with many of the other guests. The food was good, and the room was spacious with very comfortable beds. My only complaint was that its a little far from the main attractions of St Anthony and L'Anse aux Meadows.

We stayed in Tuckamore for two nights. It is about an hour from St. Anthony so a bit of a drive. It is located on a beautiful pond (the size of a lake). The food was very good and reasonably priced. Everything tasted so fresh including the best salads I had in Newfoundalnd -- great trout, soups, desserts, etc. The... More

We went up to the Northern Peninsula to visit L'Anse aux Meadows, a renown viking settlement. This lodge was recommended by the Newfoundland and Labrador Travelers Guide. The lodge is located not far from the ocean and is steps away from Duck Pond. This was only a night stop for us but we met many fishermen families from Connecticut; Florida,... More

I can't say enough how amazing Tuckamore Lodge and Barb were!! It may seem like it's in the middle of nowhere but that's part of the charm. Barb decided we wouldn't have enough room in the one we were assigned (it would have been cozy but we would have survived) so she gave us the room next door too! The... More

Stayed here for three nights. Barb, Celie, and the ladies in the kitchen could not have been nicer. Room was clean, property was well maintained. Perfect for fishing, hunting, or as a base for touring the area. No menu for meals--you eat what they cook--but they do their best to please.

Stayed here for just one night and wished we could have stayed longer. There is something very relaxing about the Tuckamore Lodge, and the rooms quaint and the staff friendly. I chose the Lodge from these reviews and was glad that I did. My partner was also very impressed with the scenery and we saw lots of moose on the... More

This was my first visit to northern Newfoundland, but it won't be my last. Tuckamore Lodge is located in the heart of great salmon fishing, moose hunting and sightseeing. It took us about 4 hours to get there from Deer Lake. We traveled through Gros Morne, the great National Park which is named for a rather large mountain that is... More
