This was an amazing place. Great location, private and well worth the money. James is great and other staff was too. They showed us around and walked us through the area. We stayed at birdhouse and it was truly a great view and private little place.

We have stayed here twice once as a family of 4 (2 1/2 year old and a 6 month old) and again with friends and family this summer ( 1 grandma, 1 family of three and our family of 4). It is an idyllic place. The kids were busy this summer catching tadpoles, watching birds, and building fairy houses. We...

We stayed in Fern Alley. It was spacious, very clean, and had a great view. The deck was also nice. The place was very entertaining for our six year old, as well as educational. He enjoyed feeding the chickens, and James showed him the bat house.
This place is so different. Where do I begin?
It's not a place for everyone. It is, however, unique and memorable. If you stay here, you will remember your Grand Manan visit.
Approaching the office, you might think that this is run-down. However, once you are walking down the path to your cabin, you will see that the area is...

6 of us (and a dog!) stayed at Larch Grove for a week, we had amble room and had every thing we needed, view of the marsh and ocean were awesome (once the fog lifted!), the birds feeding right outside our window were a real treat, hope to spend a few days there in the fall.
If this looks like your kind of place, give it a try. We loved it's funkiness and natural setting. Camped in our RV in their one site next to a small pond. View was across the marsh to the ocean...fabulous!
I was fortunate enough to be invited to spend my vacation with friends who have rented Larch Grove for many years. It was a wonderful cabin on the outskirts of Castalia Marsh, and it provided us with nature at our doorsteps. What better way to start your morning than with an eagle sitting in a tree outside your window? Accomodations...

We enjoyed a fabulous 4 night stay in the cozy Frog Hollow cabin. It was a totally different experience from anywhere I have ever vacationed, much more laid back and relaxing. We spent 4 days exploring the island, using the cabin as our starting point; it was a great step up from camping out in a tent, having a roof...

I think this place is fabulous for folks that want to feel close to nature and are willing to accept a composting toilet. I thought it was fine. James is quirky, maybe even a bit odd, but likable, and he was responsive to fixing a problem we brought to his attention. It seems like the "resort" is chronically understaffed. The...

I mostly echo what others have said. We stayed two nights. It was good value for the price, cabins are very well equipped, comfortable beds, and bedding. Great privacy. I didn't find the staff terribly friendly or available though. I particularly found it strange when we arrived that the owner went to bed before the last ferry came in leaving...
