Ruby Lake Resort is a simple, natural place to stay while visiting Sunshine Coast. The rooms are not luxurious or swanky but very practical, neat and functional. The ambiance of the whole place is very appealing. The lake and lagoons make you feel very cozy and the single storied cottages are quite homely. Amazingly there was a stone idol of... More

Pictures in the website very deceiving, old beds, furnitures, bed sheets, no microwave, classic TV, filty bathroom, old carpets and furnitures and for the price of $149 per night? go away I wouldn't even pay for 100 bucks for this one and ohh greedy owners when it comes with money! And surely, management staff have bad attitudes!!!!!

Ruby Lake Resort is a small resort at the top end of the Sunshine Coast. It's ideally situated across from Ruby Lake with a lagoon nearest to the main part of the resort. he owners have made the natural experience a focus and the bird watching is wonderful. We stayed in the cottage on the lake which was ideal for... More

We make this trip once a year, and it is kind of out of our way to come here...so every year we look for a reason not to. Once again they reminded us why we do! Outstanding dinner, comfy cabins, great scenery and fishing in the lake! Our destination is Cortes Island and we've already done the town of Sechelt and... More

The room is super small like a motel room with two beds + tiny kitchen. Not exactly like the photo shown on the website at all. We arrived to find out the lake in front of cottage is prohibited for canoeing or any activities. Internet was really slow. Disapponited. The lake across however housed quite a few fish. Fun!

The internet and the Sunshine Coast travel guide built this resort up only to have it come crashing down upon check-in. What stands out the most: - it is not exactly on the lake - it's across the street and if you are staying in the "romantic safari tent" (and are pregnant) it is actually down the highway from the... I found this place by browsing through vancouverisland.com. Even though Ruby Lake isn't on Vancouver Island it is included because it is part of the Sunshine Coast. I tried a couple of other tourism websites and never found it there. I'm glad I found it though. My husband and I were celebrating our 33rd anniversary and traveled after the Labor... More

My husband and I heard good things about Ruby Lake Resort and decided to spend a romantic weekend at this place. We reserved a tent and purchased the package that offers a 3 course meal and a breakfast basket if you pay extra $80. The quality of the food was awful and the staff couldn't be more careless about washing... More

My husband and I went her for our honeymoon. We stayed in the Eagle Spirit Deluxe suite which is across the road from the main resort and right on the lake. The suite had everything we needed and was very private. The kitchen and BBQ were nice to have. They even had an Ipod player in the suite. We ate... More

My husband and I booked one of the 'luxury lakefront cottages' at Ruby Lake because according to the website, it looked like a cozy romantic place for a weekend getaway. Upon arrival, however, the accommodations were anything but. As some of the other's reviews noted, the owners kept a large dog on the property whose loud and aggressive sounding barking... More
