We had a wonderful stay at Tyax in August. The food was absolutely unreal. The accommodations were also perfect. We loved the view from our room. The beds were fantastic, warm duvets, comfortable and minimalist rooms. My husband spent the day fishing and canoeing on the lake while I went for a trail ride. The guides, the staff...everyone - awesome.... More

This is an amazing wilderness location, you hear the Loons at night, but to hear the loons you need the windows to be open, the problem is you will hear a very loud party going on on the lake, the staff have build a raft on the lake where i was told they let the steam out, when I was... More

Dear Guests of Tyax Wilderness Resort. First off thank you for your post and giving us the opportunity to react to a situation that is fully within our control to solve. Upon discovering the noise that this raft was generating and associated mess rest assured the raft was ordered dismantled and the site cleaned up. Tyax Wilderness Resort and Spa... More

I just returned from a 1-night stay at Tyax. I loved it and want to return for a few days this summer and in the winter when I am a good enough skier to jump in the helicopter (that takes off from the frozen lake right out front of the lodge - awesome!). The staff were great, the steam room... More

Stayed at lodge for heliskiing tour. Very clean with very well-trained efficeint and professional staff. I believe they were genuinely glad to be working there. My only concern was with menu for dinner: basically NOT an athelete's diet. Would like to see more healthy choices. Breakfast was better. It must be hard to get fresh vegatables up there in the... This resort is located at a lake between the mountains and forest. It's pretty hard to get to the resort but when you get there you Will be suprised by it's beauty. More

Stayed there a few years ago and planning to return. Went on a horseback trip, quad tour and had a private fly fishing lesson. Everything first class, including the wine list. Highly recommend. Other dinner guests were a grizzly bear sow with 3 cubs grazing just outside, wonderful photo opportunity!! More

I have been lucky enough to stay here at the resort twice. The second time in a lakefront room - the best! The staff were wonderful, very welcoming and friendly. The accomodation was comfortable and the lodge very rustic and warm. We went horse riding and canoing out on the lake, very back to nature for me (in other words... More

Stayed two nights on a fly drive holiday. Fantastic hotel with spectacular views and certainly in the wilderness. Room was spacious and although it was at the end of the summer season all facililities were first class. We had a ground floor room which allowed us to walk straight out onto the grass and down to the lake. Free WiFi. More

Went for a biking/fishing/relaxing trip in August. Really great stay overall and worth the drive up the Hurley FSR which was a nice little adventure itself. The Lodge has been renovated and is the right level of class meets cabin. The staff were almost perfect. There was pretty low occupance during our stay and we really would have appreciated the... We stayed at Tyax for two nights and loved it. The room was spacious and very well decorated, the beds were extremely comfy, the room was clean and the toiletries of a high standard. We had robes which were useful in the room but also to go to the spa in. We had a room at the bottom so we... More
