The hotel is currently undergoing renovations from Hurricane Irene. We knew this was the first weekend that it was open since the storm, but we kind of assumed that it would be complete. Stayed for vacation, room is spacious, small kitchenette is ideal for a Beach week long vacation. The restaurant on site offers a nice breakfast buffet and had lunch was was very good. Had to leave early due to Hurricane Irene, but Hotel was very friendly and accommodating. Ready to go again! More

We stayed here this summer instead of our usual, the Holiday Inn. This is now our new place to stay. The separate bedroom (with double beds) made the stay with two young ones easier and the extra toilet did as well. Wrightsville Beach is an Amazing Beach.....Shell Island sits on the widest part of the Beach..White Sand and You can experience the tidal pools...Very friendly Staff.....We left some clothing items in our room and they were returned in the Mail....Thanks Shell Island for a great Week.... More
