We enjoyed a couple nights at the Main Stay in Wilmington, NC. It was affordable and comfortable. Having the kitchenette is a nice plus to keep your drinks and snacks cold. Staying on Ocean Front was much too expensive so this was a much better idea. Good location, near restaurants, downtown and the ocean. More

Upon arrival, the Mainstay appeared to be clean and nice. After we checked in we found many things we didn't particularly like. First of all, the elevator is old and feels unsafe. Stayed here a couple of months ago and it was OK. This time the kitchen floor had footprints from heavy duty boots, torn upholstery on the couch, a broken down recliner AND ROACHES. A fantastic stay for a quick get-away, and reasonably priced. I especially enjoyed the suite's layout with the island table within the kitchen looking into the lounge area. We stayed one night at this location. 2 adults and 3 kids. We had a 2 room suite which was great. There were 2 seperate bedrooms and a living room kitchen area. Great place if traveling with kids.
