The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly, and the rate we got was probably one of the best in town in an excellent location. The room/linens need some serious TLC though. Upon entering our room, it had a strong musty, mold like smell to it. Our blanket had a huge cigarette burn in the middle of it, and... More

This is an old style motel, and its age is apparent. The staff, as others said, were amazingly friendly and helpful, way above expectations. Thee rooms were small and old, but they were very clean. The rooms smelled of cleaner very strong, but with the AC on and the door open it cleared out. We just needed a place to... More

Definitely dated, similar to Motel 6, but with friendly staff. They even waived the normal pet fee for our group. Mostly clean room, actually smelled so strongly of cleaner (we checked in earlier than expected), that we left the door open a bit to air it out. Perfect for coming back after a full day elsewhere while traveling with your... More

I'm sure for the price and being close to the airport and downtown, it's just ok if you stay a night. It is only getting 2 stars because the staff were welcoming and nice! Very helpful with directions, stuff to do, etc. (maps in the lobby also a plus!) The hotel is old and the rooms need a major face... More

Old Inn. The room smelled and you could tell it had been closed for a while. The shower was noisy and it´s far away from the downtown. Also they say they have a Continental Breakfast which it´s totally false. They offer a "grab" breakfast with some bagged pastries and some coffee and that´s it. You have to take it anywhere... More

The staff was really friendly and had great ideas on what to do in the area. However, the inn itself is a bit shabby. Our room smelled of fungus, the heat/air unit blew directly on the first beds occupants so made the night for my husband miserable. The pillows were flat as pancakes and the covers also looked really worn.... More

We appreciate your candid comments. Yes, this is an older property which still needs some "love". We are working on continued improvements. I agree about the linens and the good news is we have new linens on the way. This property had been through a great deal of changes from what it was 18 months ago. I wish you had... More

My family and I checked in for a two night stay booked ahead of time. When we arrived there Wed night 4-11-12, the night clerk was very friendly and helpful. She was inquisitive and sincere, which was lovely. We ended up leaving early out of exhaustion that was no fault of the hotel's. My son wouldn't sleep in a new... More

Thank you for you review. I appreciate the good and the bad! I wish we were able to do more in regard to the breakfast. We have tried in our descriptions to make sure our guests realize that this is a "Grab & Go Breakfast" set up. As you can also see, we really do not have the space for... More

Positives first: The room was clean. Upon check-in, my partner and I searched high and low for any bugs or other concerns. There were none. In addition, the television included complementary premier programming like HBO. Thirdly, although I didn't see anyone, the front desk alerted us of night security personnell who keeps watch on the premises. Lastly, the hotel is... More

Thank you for your review. I am not sure what night of the week you stayed with us. We do have Security Services on the weekends only, at the moment. In the State of NC there is a law that "pet friendly rooms" have to be designated rooms. We have chosen the back end of our property due to ample... More
