They need to hire a new chef. We got the seafood option and the scallops weren't done. The portions definitely weren't consistent with the people sitting around us. Our friend got the pork, and it was still pink. Last I checked pork was the other WHITE meat when it's not smoked. A terrible dining experience overall that should definitely be... More

My wife and I have stayed at The 1906 Pine Crest Inn twice now, and both times we have come away very impressed, well-rested, and stuffed from an excellent and complete breakfast. There are many things that stand out to us that make The Pine Crest a unique and special place. First, the staff is very customer-focused and professional, which... More

Being a guest at the Pine Crest Inn in Tryon NC is a wonderful, unique, and charming experience. From the moment you arrive, you instantly feel you have arrived at a truly special place. I've treated myself to a retreat here multiple times because I always have a terrific time. Upon arriving to this historic inn, the staff greets you... More

The overnight at the 1906 Pinecrest Inn was just supposed to be an 'on the way' stop to Asheville, however to my great surprise - it ended up being the highlight of my trip to North Carolina for the first time. I thought the experience here was better than the Christmas Tour at Biltmore - which was my #1 agenda... More

The restaurant was closed. They seemed a little understaffed. Had breakfast in bed, they seemed a little out of practice. They are hoping to get a Head Chef in the near future. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Room was nice. More

My husband and I spent Saturday night in the Swayback Cabin. It was a quaint, and privately located cabin on this property. The cabin is unique in that it is 250 years old, and set away from the main cottages. It certainly is dated and has very low ceilings, but it is charming and a treat to have stayed in... More

Our first clue should have been the website, which was full of broken links and basically non-functional. My husband had planned this trip for our anniversary, and made an online reservation for dinner at the Inn for the first night of our stay. We were informed upon arrival that the restaurant was not open, and we should make other plans... More

We wanted to stay somewhere close to I-26, but also somewhere nice, for our last night in North Carolina. The 1906 Pine Crest Inn was very nice. Nothing to complain about, BUT during our trip in the North Carolina mountains we had stayed in places with much larger rooms at a lesser rate. There were nice little touches like turn-down... More

The Pine Crest Inn met our need for a clean, quiet, convenient place to stay. The grounds were attractive and the management friendly and welcoming. The accommodations are hard to describe. The rooms I saw, though clean, were very much in need of updating (i.e. rust stains in tubs and on metal furniture, old linens, musty smell in some areas),... More

What a gem of a place! The accommodations were comfortable, the grounds beautiful, the food delicious, and the staff and owner the best! Thank you again Carl, Jeffrey and everyone else for making our week a special one! Jeff T. More
