This place has gotten some pretty bad reviews, but it's not all that bad for a little inn in the middle of the Blue Ridge Parkway in small-town USA. A converted school-building could be more charming, but they are working with what they've got. Breakfast is next door in the church. Rooms are huge - the size of classrooms. Bathroom... More

We had stayed at this Inn about 12 years ago and it was terrific. We forgot the name and weren't even sure which town it was in, but we perservered and were so excited we found it as we needed to stay in the area for a couple of days. After checking in we changed rooms as the first room... More

The Pinebridge Inn was clean and safe. Although the furnishings are old, the beds were comfortable, and it was quiet. There was Christian literature everywhere. A Christian t.v. channel was playing in the breakfast area. The signs said no alcohol and tobacco. The inn is owned by a church, not the folks who started the Buck Stove business. The signs... More

This converted old school house makes a neat motel with ambiance. Our room was very large with two double beds, refrigerator and coffee maker. TV had lots of viewing options. Shower and toilet were seperated by a door from the sink, which is perferrable to us with three girls traveling. We walked to a nearby city park around supper time... More

I have stayed at this property on several occasions over the years. Really no other place in Spruce Pine. The bathrooms are small, the TV is small, the beds are uncomfortable, the carpet needs replacing, and the furniture is cheap. The owners need to spend some money to upgrade this place!!! More

My wife and I have been staying here since we stumbled across Spruce Pine in 1993. We have always had great service, clean rooms and friendly staff. We love staying on the thrid floor, great view of the town and surrounding mountains. More

The room was very clean and neat, room heater worked well, good water pressure in shower. Microwave and refrigerator in room. Wi-Fi internet hookup was quick and easy (unlike many places). Staff were friendly and helpful. Room rate was very reasonable. Breakfast had wide variety of well-prepared hot and cold foods. What a wonderful idea to remodel a no-longer-used school... More

My family stayed in the Principal's Cottage, this place was not labeled and we had to call the desk to make sure that this wasn't someone's residence. We opened the door and the smell of mold and mildew slapped you in the face. The floor was slippery, don't know why. You could not open the windows to help air the... More

My family and I recently stayed at the Pinebridge Inn in the Principal's Cottage. To say the least, we were very disappointed with the accomodations and the attitude of the staff. Upon arrival, after a very long trip, we opened the door and were hit with the smell of mold and mildew. The smell of the place was absolutely unbelievable!... More

Pinebridge Inn is the remodeled Harris schoolhouse where I attended Elementary school and my father attended High School. Schoolrooms were made into hotel rooms, with lots of room and high ceilings. Beds are comfortable with microwave and refrigerator in room. Televisions are old and small. Staying there always bring back memories. Lots of pictures and memorabilia of old time school... More
