“Basic motel but clean and neat”

My husand and I and our children stayed here one night in January, as we could not get accommodation in Mandurah. I wouldn't want to have stayed more than one night, but the motel was fine. It was clean and neat. I booked for a trundle bed to be in the room when we got there, but it wasn't, and I had to ask several times to have it delivered. And there was a bit of confusion about which room they had booked for us, but we were set up eventually. The pool and bbq area was quite dirty, I didn't let my children go in the pool as it looked a little slimey. Probably not the ideal place for young children, but I'm sure this motel would be more than suitable for backpackers or singles just wanting a clean room for the night. More

The Pinjarra Motel is about 2km south from the river. The receptionist had very poor English language skills and it was hard to make ourselves understood and to understand her. I also had to talk to her on the phone earlier in the day and that was a challenge as well.

The room (38) was nice and clean. It looked fairly new or recently renovated. It had a comfortable bed with clean linen, a flat screen TV, kitchenette (microwave,toaster,kettle etc) and a large bathroom. The floor of the bathroom needed a bit of a scrub but was otherwise well maintained. There was insufficient cutlery in the kitchenette. I was unable to access the internet, even though I was told there was wireless available. We may have been too far from the office to get reception.

We had dinner preordered for us and because the restaurant was closed (on a Saturday night???) a plate of roast beef was brought to the room for us to microwave. After the 4 minutes recommended reheating the meal was very... More
