We stayed in June and had a basic room - basic it was but had a punchy heater and was surprisingly comfortable. I guess i can only refer to the bed, as that was pretty much all you got. I'm not sure what the more expensive rooms are like. The hotel is old and needs so much work, it amazes... More

Don't be discouraged if the hotel looks closed - there is no neon sign or anything. We initially thought it was shut but perservered and found the manager out the back,. This old hotel was a nice change from soul-less motels and cabins on our drive accross Australia (and back) and I highly recommend this place for a night! We... More

All I wanted was a bit of comfort at the end of a long drive and the Railway Motel provided a whole lot more. I was accommodated in a large spa room which provided all my needs. The rooms aren't luxurious but they are clean, comfortable and quiet. There is plenty of room both within the room and within its... More

It's a quaint old art deco place in an interesting old mining town and there's a few flaking paint spots here and there. But Therese; the owner, is gradually renovating the place apparently. I stayed in one of the excellent spa rooms, upstairs in the main building. It was an absolute bargain, especially compared to the other places I had... More

Good value with breakfast included. We arrived pretty late but they were accomodating. It was the start of our drive across the Nullabor. We paid only $90 for 2 adults and 2 children in a room that had a queen and a single. The bathroom floor felt a bit spongy but was ok. Even had a fridge. We stayed in... More

This place is beautiful! Old building but friendly people and so much character. We stayed 1 night on way back home to Perth and loved it. Best place in Norseman no question. We previously stayed in the other motel which cost $140 a night and had a smelly bathroom so we were looking for something else and had such a... More

Stayed at the Railway Norseman Motel for 1 night travelling from SA to Perth. After travelling 1731km we arrived at around 9.30pm WA time, to a very welcoming couple. Motel is old looking from the outside, and at first glance you do wonder what on earth its going to be like inside, but it was great. We booked a spa... More

Pulling up here hubby the kids and I almost decided not to go in. The outside if very off putting, but the building is old and I'd read previous reviews about the 'Art Deco' style so in we went. We had per-booked a spa room with a queen and spa bed for $99. We were welcomed by the host who... More

Needs a lot of work. However, appearnces are not all they seem. Passing through on my way to Golden Bay. After 15 hours driving I was welcomed at the motel by the loveliest host. So very helpful, informative and so pleasant. I was presented with with a very hot room, which cooled quickly while I searched for somewhere for dinner.... More

We stayed here for one night when crossing the Nullarbor and were glad we chose this hotel. The cracks in the wall outside worried us a bit but once we went in we were fascinated by the art deco building and furniture. The paint was a bit shabby inside too but our room had a comfortable bed and the ensuite... More
