We stayed twice over the past month in Derby and both times at the Spinifex. The accomodation is fresh & modern. We stayed in an apartment room on both occasions - these are bigger than your average hotel room - plenty of cupboard and draw space for a long stay - basic kitchenette but ok for simple cooking, bar fridge... I stayed here whilst on business for 2 nights. The apartment rooms were brand new and lovely. The dongas looked very small from the outside. Food at the restaurant was very average. The hotel was much better than I expected from Derby. Definitely the pick of the bunch. More

I have just spent two weeks at the Spinifex Hotel and recommend it to others. The hotel is being completely refurbished and the new rooms are great, bar a few teething problems.
