Had stayed in Marree Hotel for one night and checked out - see my review of that (don't want to repeat that nightmare again).
Stayed in a S/C demountable in the Caravan Park that was basic, but clean and comfortable. It did the job given where we were. The campfire dinner arrangement for everyone in the Park is excellent, and gave everyone passing through the chance to mix and exchange yarns - a great idea that we thoroughly enjoyed.
If you don't eat at the campfire dinner, go over to the restaurant associated with the servo 5 minutes away. The food is a bit greasy, but it beats the Hotel by a mile !
Ron the manager is a great bloke, and provided us with a lot of help. Watch out for his dog, Spanna - he does nip !
