We (husband and I) stayed 2 nights at the Oasis Caravan Park and Motel in Marree as part of a self driving trip to Lake Eyre.
We booked our room by phone a couple of weeks prior, but on arrival (early in the day, fortunately) they had no record of us. Despite that, our welcome was warm & friendly and we were shown to a room to settle in. To call it a motel is a bit of a stretch - it's a caravan park with several dongas as rooms, managed in conjunction with the roadhouse / supermarket a 5 minute walk away the other side of town.
We were given plenty of information when we arrived about scenic flights (which we had also pre-booked) and meals available at the caravan park or roadhouse.
Our room was spotless - very comfortable double bed and single as well, fridge and small side table with TV. A couple of chairs outside (which had seen better days), but nice to sit outside and watch the sunset and chat with neighbours. The bathroom small & functional & spotless... More
