Sorry to say but not worthwhile staying there. Rooms were very dated and not cosy. At the swimming pools, there were no seats available which is a pity. The restaurant was ok but nothing more. More

The room's are OK but very dark and a rather dated, although the bathroom had just been refurb'ed and looked good. Clean and comfortable and the garden area that the rooms face on to is pretty. Reception very friendly. Well placed for wine tasting in Coonawarra but very overpriced for what it is. More

We stayed at the Chardonnay Lodge for 2 nights and had dinner at the restaurant on both nights. The rooms are quite spacious although dated. The room was large and well equipped. Plenty of hot water and a roomy bathroom. A continental breakfast is supplied in the room. The setting is lovely in the middle of the Coonawarra winery strip but only about 8km from Penola township. Location and rooms were excellent however the food offered in both the restaurant and with room service is totally overpriced and definately not value for money. We will stay there again but we will eat else where. More
