Had a lovely 24 hours at the park. Stayed in one of their cabins, had a great nights sleep and woke to the birds singing. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Food was good, wine reasonable and atmosphere great. Easy to get into Litchfield Park and saved heaps of time on travel the Park. Will stay again sometime

Toilet stank of sewerage. We had to leave mosquito coils burning 24hours to mask the smell. All insect meshes on doors and windows had holes so we were inundated by insects every night. No airconditioning in the dorm so the 3 kids had to squeeze into the bedrooms with the parents. Ceiling fans squeaked all night. There IS definitely better... More

We had a few days in Kakadu, which seemed like more of a battle than a holiday. Lots mosquitoes, endless driving, sites only seemed accessible if we paid for tours, pricey tho lovely camping at Cooinda...... but it seemed a lot of effort for the rewards. We were recently on a bus tour to Litchfield National Park and we stopped here for a bite to eat along the way. Lovely place, food was good and everything was very clean including the amenities. Staff were friendly unlike the next place we stopped at for lunch which had the rudest man I have encountered in hospitality industry.

Excellent welcome by manager; we were able to check out the park, choose whichever site we liked and even set up before paying! Had a lovely overnight stay. I think we were the only ones at the park at this time of year which is off season. Stayed in one of the 1 bedroom cabins. Small but very clean.Lovely spot and lovely homestyle dinner and breakfast cooked for us by the owners. Apparently gets very busy during peak season. Right at the entrance... More

Litchfield House - wonderful accomodation, staff very helpful and friendly. Restaurant is good, though probably better on any night rather than Tuesday which was "cooks night off". Litchfield house is a great place for afmilies to get together.

After a week in the bush, we originally had planned just a couple of days at the Park to catch up on washing and to recharge the battery, but the relaxing atmosphere, helpful hints on enjoying the National Park and the friendly service convinced us that Litchfield Tourist Park was the place from which to base our Lithcfield National Park... At the time of booking in with our small motor home, everything about the national park was explained to us, even what was open or closed. The site we chose was under a tall carport. Showers & toilets were clean and well maintained. The staff were very obliging. We arrived back at the park late at night on the back... More
