The owners seemed very friendly and helpful but the Safari Tent itself was pretty poor standard. Inside was covered in cobwebs and spiders including one of the biggest I have ever seen which we had to get the manager to remove as they didn't have any insect spray available. We had zillions of bugs coming in all night because the... More

We wanted the outdoor experience and we got it at the Litchfield Safari Camp. Note: this Safari Camp is not for travelers wanting to be spoonfed customer service with luxuriously appointed amenities. This is for travelers who realise that they're 1 minutes drive from one of the most beautiful National Parks that Australia has to offer. What you get here... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in our camper van. When we arrived we were greeted by a young woman (who was the nicest person at the place) who checked us in and showed us the map of the site. We chose a site that was decently shaded and close enough to the bathrooms. Around the campsite... More

Arrived late in afternoon, shown to our tent which was unspeakably dirty, dusty and covered in cobwebs. The towels on the bed were threadbare and stiff, and didn't look very clean at all. Then we heard a generator about 50feet away. I asked to owner when that would be turned off and he said never, thats our only power supply.... More

I would just like to reinforce that we were well looked after as visitors to this camping ground, and nothing was too much trouble. Very convenient to Wangi Falls and supplies the mobile cafe for Wangi Falls, as the original cafe has been pulled down and not rebuilt yet. It has similar bush camping tents to Latitude 1308, but has... More

We were actually staying at another accommodation "just next door", but we were looking for ice, which we had been told by the people we were staying with that we could only get back at Bacholor, which is an hours drive there and back. So we were supprised that the accommodation next door had it. The friendly greeting we recieved... More

We stayed in a safari cabin at this Litchfield Safari Camp for 2 nights so that we could be near the main sites in Litchfield National Park w/o driving back and forth to Batchelor. The safari camp is mainly for tent campers and campervans, with just a few of these tent cabins on one edge. They are equivalent to a... More

We stayed in a Safari Tent at Wangi Tourist Park for one night. The tent was fine, with four beds and a small fridge - very basic but we were in a tent and in the middle of nowhere! The place was nice, great location in the park with widlife around. We did encounter a few problems - the flyscreen... More
