I spent one night at the Swissotel in Foshan and 3 across the street at the Crowne Plaza. Given a choice I'd pick the Swissotel. Friendly and competent staff. Nice, clean rooms and good food. Whirlpool, sauna and steam room were clean and a welcome respite from a long trip.

The Swiss had everything you'd expect from the big hotel chains; decent gym and pool, good breakfast buffet, and comfy rooms. The hotel is good for it's price (outside of the Canton fair) but it's staff are sometime easily confused and slow to respond (despite speaking English). We stayed on the 52nd floor, the view from there is amazing. It is the tallest structure in Foshan. We were able to get a good deal off season. It has gone up since we stayed last. They also have serviced apartments but we didn't see those.

We stayed there last march for 3 nights. Rooms are perfect for business or leisure. Restaurant service is great at the 50th floor. You should definitely try the Japanese restaurant on the 6th floor. You will definately be impressed from the outlook of this hotel. But you will regret when you step in .....The hotel should reduce their room rate. Do not go to the chinese restaurant. The service was lousy. The waitresses were not well-trained. The food was average but very very expensive.

Is probably the tallest hotel in Foshan. Up on 50 floor in Cafe Swiss, u can have a bird's eye view of Foshan provided the visibility is good. Foshan being venue famoud for ceramics, there r many kilns around, thus its smokey. Got an upgrade at Front Desk. Room is spacious. Flat screen TV but unable to swivel. Lounge chair.... More
