DO NOT STAY HERE. I left a bag of inexpensive jewelry in my room.. I called the next day and I got voicemails, left several messages, got the runaround from the staff. It took 3 days and me speaking to about 5 people to get the lead manager to give me any response. And surprise surprise... they didn't have it.... More

This is an interesting looking building - a rotunda. We asked for and got a top floor with a fantastic view. We thought we'd start the night in the lounge on the 20th floor only to find it closed for a private party. They had a small area with some tables as their restaurant, so we had a beer there.... This was a good enough place - nothing fancy but also not uncomfortable. The best thing about this hotel was the location - downtown within walking distance of my business appointments and lots of shops & restaurants. Staff was helpful and the room was ok. Although they had free wifi in the lobby and bar, internet was only available via... More

What a GREAT property! Very unique and for the price AND to be downtown, I'll stay here every time. The property does need some updating and renovation. The hallways and rooms need fresh paint and new carpet. BUT overall the room was very clean! Hats off to the housekeeping team. Could use in-room safes. The PEOPLE made this a real... More

The value was great & rooms were clean, however, I inadvertantly left a very expensive Bluetooth speaker in the room & any attempts to speak with someone were met with stonewalling & voicemail. I will never stay here again - THE STAFF IS SHADY AS HELL!!!!!

I frequently need to travel to downtown Raleigh for meetings and it is a pain to drive back and forth to hotels out by the belt-way. The Tower is not what it used to be but it is reasonably priced and reasonably clean. It is walking distance from almost all the downtown government buildings. I like it better than the... More

We were impressed with the superb and sincere courtesy of all the staff. While in downtown Raleigh, it is very quiet. Rooms are attractive, well arranged, very clean. The breakfast and light supper at the top of the tower were very good.

The Clarion Hotel State Capital is in a great central location in downtown Raleigh, NC. If you are looking for a place to stay in walking distance to all off the downtown districts this is the place to be. We walked everywhere we wanted to go, it was perfect! The hotel room itself was spacious and the bed was comfortable.... More

The other reviews pretty much sum this hotel up: it's old, it's in need of renovation, but you can't beat the location and price. The hotel is clean and the staff are really nice and accommodating. Since I am "Choice Privileges" member they allowed me to check in early and check out late. I actually prefer the location of the... More

The hotel was obviously very nice at one point, but its become a little run down. There were stains on the carpet, the walls, the bathroom, and the alarm clock. The service was very poor. No one was interested or attentive. The internet was down for the entire 3 days I was staying there. The staff said it was a... More
