This is an old property but it has been well maintained. The bathroom was clean despite the worn fixtures and tile. The carpet and drapes were clean despite their 1970s design. Obviously the parking lot had been recently repaved and the lines repainted. The office and its continental breakfast area were also well kept. The refrigerator was spotless and had... More

If it were possible I would rate this hotel below terrible. It is so filthy that my mom slept in the car with my dog. The carpet had a hole that seemed like it led to a sewer or a dead body. The furniture was worn and moldy, the paint was cracking all over and there a reeking odor. I... More

Our stay at this motel was a horrid experience. All I can say is, avoid it like the plague. The place is filthy and moldy. My husband, who is not picky at all, was totally grossed out. I told my child, "Do not touch ANYTHING." I could go on and on with the multitude of issues this place had, but... More

Scary to say the least. The good - the pool was clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom as clean. The bad - dirty breakfast area. No mattress pad, Door had gap under it that critters could get through. Spider as big as a mouse. The electrical outlets did not work properly...one light couldn't shut off so you had to... More

We stopped there overnight, on the way to Florida. It was the absolute nastiest, disgusting hotel i've ever stayed in. The room smelt like smoke, there were blood stains on the sheets, holes in the curtains, it looked like parts of the wall and ceiling were falling off, and I wont even begin to comment on the bathroom. I wouldn't... More

What a dump ! (as Bette Davis said). This place should be condemned, even $5. would be too much. Filthy, holey sheets, no toilet paper in the bathroom, no toilet paper holder. It smelled... The tiles were coming out of the floor. We didn't dare look under the mattess or under the bed for fear of finding_________??? The continental breakfast?... More

This was THEE most horrible hotel in which I have stayed in my life! I was tired and it was late so I stopped into this location to catch a quick night's sleep but when I walked in I almost threw up! I took photos of the room to show to any poor soul thinking about staying at the Lumberton,... More

Well we knew we were driving the weekend before Christmas and had to have a half-way place, so we figured we would book at the half-way point and we wouldn't be there for too long, so why pay more? Here is why we should have paid more... this place was SO NOISY. We got there at 1 AM and you... More

Stop here on our way up north. I made the unfortunate mistake of listening to the husband and not making reservations in advance for our night trip. When we were ready to stop I kept looking for a place that had free wireless and this hotel's billboards advertised it so we decided to stop. Bad mistake! We paid $35 for... More
