Just got the crop in and really needed to get away. Timing was perfect and this place really surpassed any other place we have been at the Outter Banks of NC. Owners are very unintrussive and very easy to talk to. The cool breeze on very warm summer days were extremely welcoming outside while very cool AC was provided inside.... More

This was the third year in a row my family has stayed at the Cypress Moon Inn. We really enjoy the comfortable beds, porch swings, and eating breakfast outside enjoying the views. It was nice to have a coffee maker, wine glasses, wine bottle opener, and mini fridge in the room. I really preferred the continental style breakfast delivered to... More

Spectacular view of bay with various green grasses and trees. moody in its beauty. House very solid thru storm .We watched it move through from room but couldn't hear a thing. When it passed sitting on porch was so relaxing. ....sitting on porch having breakfast was so peaceful. Felt very out of the beaten path but in fact was near... More

We had plamned this trip about two months ahead of time. The place looked ideal for a romantic get away. We pick up our key from the inn and drove to the cottage. When we arrived at the cottage we noticed it wasnt a secluded cottage but a beach house with an over grown yard. We couldn't even park in... More

The Outerbanks are quite developed, so most of the barrier island is paved with house after house for rent, and large hotels that are pricey. This inn is a tranquil exception to all that, and was obviously built with love and care and pride by owners Greg and Linda. The home is decorated with a funky blend of antiques and... More

This was our first experience with staying at a bed and breakfast. As a background we typically stay at a motel or hotel. The booking experience was quick and painless. We were running late on check in day, a quick call to the owner and he was more than accommodating. Upon our arrival we were greeted at the door and... More

What I loved about this B&B was that it was away from the commercial development that has exploded at the Outer Banks. It's close to everything, but hidden enough to be quiet and peaceful. It was just the kind of traditional B&B I had imagined when heading for Outer Banks. My room was very nice, with a beautiful shared veranda... More

My husband & I spent two nights at the inn in the fall. The owners were informative & helpful as to where to eat, etc in the area. The bed was really comfortable, the towels were excellent, and the room was really immaculate. The views from the rooms overlook the water & are stunning. Breakfast is provided on a tray... More

My partner and I selected Cypress Moon because it's in a quiet location relative to other Kitty Hawk lodging, and because they have kayaks and bikes for their guests. Price-wise, it's comparable to other lodging (we paid $210/night during the high season, and most places are right around $200). While the quiet and the outdoor options are nice, there are... More

We thank you for choosing us for your stay in Kitty Hawk. The breakfast we serve is an ample amount of food which includes, baked goods like muffins, scones, coffee cake, croissants and danish. This selection is not unlike what you would find at a bakery or coffee shop. Also on the tray is yogurt,3-4 pieces of whole fruit, coffee, tea and snacks.... More

I liked Cypress Moon Inn because it offers the best of several worlds. Situated next to a coastal reserve, it offers an avid distance runner like me a gentle, quiet, natural place to explore during a 2-hour run, complete with educational signs about the reserve, its flora and fauna. The breakfast tray is a great idea because it's awkward for... More
