We stayed at the Pine Cabin with our two dogs and it was fabulous. The cabin is perfect for a couple. The owners have really gone out of their way to ensure you have every necessity met. (They even have dog toys.) The area itself is very nice, with lots of hiking to be had, and don't miss out on... More

While it doesn't look like much from the steep entrance off the roadway, these cabins are wonderful! Whenever we feel the need to go away for the weekend we always go here. The cabins are comfortable and private. We've always found the facilities to be very clean and well maintained, and we appreciate the owner's attention to detail. This place... More

Husband and I stayed in paw print cabin. Just like the photos on thier website. Very dog friendly. great hiking trails around cabin. Close to asheville's dining and attractions. We had a wonderful time, and would recommend it to our friends.

There is no doubt, in staying in one of these cabins, that the owners are animal lovers (of all types, insects included). In first entering the "cabin" (a term used loosely because the buildings look more like single wide trailers with log siding than cabins), both my wife and I smelled the unmistakable wet dog smell. While this was certainly... More

We rented the Hound Heaven cabin for two nights. Even though we never physically saw our hosts (which was fine), the service they provided was top-notch -- from our introductory email until the last minute of our stay. We found a customized letter with recommendations for restaurants, shopping and recreation (including an easy hike at Max Patch – a must... More

We stayed at The Oak cabin for our first anniversary this month. The cabin was absolutely amazing - I can't say enough great things about it. Amy and Mike have gone out of there way to provide everything you could possibly need, and more! We loved sitting on the porch in the cool fall mornings and relaxing in the hot... More

Stayed in Hound Heaven. Wanted cabin close to Max Patch & one that would allow us to bring dog. Great location; awesome sunset view from our cabin. Nestled in the mountains, quiet location. Enjoyed the porch; relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings, drinking coffee in the morinings. Cabin had almost everything we needed(could only find 2 washcloths). he... More

My wife and I checked into Hound Heaven on July 12, 2010 around 4 p.m. after a nice drive from North Alabama. After scoping out the place, we went to the Smokey Mountain Diner for supper. My wife had the vegetable plate and I had the fried chicken. This restaurant was one that the owner had recommended we try during... More

We just returned from our stay at the Hound Heaven for 5 nights. It was the perfect get-away, very relaxing and peaceful. You never know what to expect when you book a cabin on-line, but the cabin more than lived up to our expectations. (maybe a little less privacy than we expected, but still very private) The views are phenomonal... More

We stayed here for our honeymoon at the end of January, 2010. After a somewhat hectic drive into the mountains, we finally found our cabin. It was lovely!! The hot tub was perfect and we quickly got in, and spent most of our week there. The owners were great about checking on our reservation and making sure we got in.... More

I am glad to hear that this couple enjoyed their honeymoon stay with us! Beds are such a matter of personal preference, but we do our best to make sure our guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay. (We do also receive many compliments on our beds - Quality Serta mattress over box springs with a memory foam topper.) My... More
