We had a quick trip centered around activities at Duke University. The hotel was very accommodating. From shuttle service to prevent walking to having umbrellas to loan for the day, they went out of their way to anticipate needs. Great experience and the bathroom was first class.

My past experiences at the Washington Duke Inn have been positive but this recent visit was disappointing. When I checked in, the receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful. We have stayed at Duke Inn 5 times so we know it is consistent in guest quality of experience from ambiance, decor of rooms, bath, public areas, beautiful grounds with abundant flowers and dining expeiences.

Very elegant rooms and common areas, although rooms could be larger given the cost. Lots of comfortable stuffed chairs and sofas suitable for reading or conversation. Excellent restaurant and bistro. Abundant self parking. Outdoor dining on patio is available overlooking a putting green. Very friendly and helpful staff. RGinTally

We were in with a family wedding. The hotel staff was awesome. In particular, the housekeeping staff was always there to greet us, to ask if we needed anything, etc. Prices were good. Food delicious. And we loved the golf course. We'll definitely return on any future visits to Durham. Everything/everyone was just spot on.

This facility advertises that it is "pet friendly" however I have not found them to be friendly at all. They should be considered "Pet Tolerant" maybe.
