This was our third trip and everything was completely to our expectations. Jenia and I had her parents here fro Moscow, Russia and the experience was completely to our needs. We discovered the Yurt Village by "flying" over it on an earlier Canopy Tour...this is the most relaxing was to enjoy nature's resources. These units are like wigwam/tent/cabin with a... More

We stayed here because we were going to be hiking in the National Park. If you're looking for something super close to Great Smokey Mt., this isn't it. With that said, I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again. The yurt was clean and had a comfy queen sized bed, a futon, a coffee maker, and a fridge inside. The bathrooms weren't... More

I love backpacking, but it's nice to stay in a hybrid Yurt! We didn't do Whitewater Rafting, but simply wanted to stay at the Yurt during an Asheville excursion. It was beautiful and remote, we followed the directions given, so it was pretty easy to find, but arrive before sunset! We had a lovely cabin, the one overlooking a waterfall... More

Just returned from a girls’ trip to Falling Waters resort. We are not at all the camping type, so this “glamping” experience was right up our alley. The images of the yurts are pretty accurate, but we could not see the shared bathroom facilities before arrival. I was definitely skeptical (shared bathroom in the woods has “gross” written all over... More

We stayed here with a group of 19, and we had a great time! It wasn't the easiest place to find, but we figured it out. I would definitely recommend more signs. The yurts were very nice and had everything that we needed. They had a nice shelter that we used for our group gathering time, and the bathrooms were... More

The group lodge is perfect for a "no worry" get away with family and friends. Hike, talk, eat, take the canopy tour, visit local sites and cities. Pure FUN!

This was our second time and we enjoyed our stay at the Yurt Village. The glorified camping experience is unique and relaxing. The premises has a hot tub and plenty of bathrooms for all. Fall is our favorite time to visit because it's not to hot and not to cold. There is a zipline company up the road and sometimes... More

Throw your GPS out the window and follow the directions these folks will give you. This was our first time in a yurt. It was really nice. Like a very luxureous tent. Very comfortable beds. The showers were a little rustic and of a community/campground nature, but it was nice. Woke up to BEAUTIFUL scenery!! Great place for a morning... More

Visited for 2 nights after finding on trip advisor- 1st night Yurt 8 'The Gorge' Located a short walk from the bathhouse, through the trees up some stone steps. This was our favorite of the two due to its wonderfull views across the Nanthala river. 2nd night Yurt 7 'The Waterfall' Located near to yurt 8 but slightly lower down... More

OK first off - it is a Yurt...it is not a hotel room - so keep that in mind. for those who don't know what a yurt is - and many of my friends asked "You are staying in what?" it is basically a glorified ridgided round tent - with electricity. There is no attached bathrooms - but there is... More
