My Wife Karen and Myself have been here twice. The first time last summer we were planning a short stay which ended up a month. We went back in September and stayed another month. We enjoy this relaxed beautiful campground, the personnel, facilities, bathhouse and campstore alone with the pavillion, which are metiously cleaned, so much we plan to stay... More

I am sitting in a wonderful campsite next to the large creek. Peace, my kids happy and a friendly staff. Who could ask for more. I am selecting this as my permanent camp site for future visits. Please stop and see Jerry and the great folks here.

This is a small campground, and right off a busy street, but you would never know it. It has a delightful creek running through it, and the sound of the creek drowns out the noise of the cars. We visited in Early May and during the week, and almost had the place to ourselves! So I can't say what it... More

We have 7 children and they have children and a couple of dogs and we each have our own cabin. We cook all our meals and eat togeather at the tent spaces. We have a relaxing fire even... More

The campground is awesome BUT we were traveling by motorcycle and needed linens for the cabins. I asked when I reserved the cabins and was told they would be provided. We arrived right at dark, in the rain and NO linens were in the cabins. The lady at the desk was very helpful and scurried around to line up linens... More

This campground is the best in the Boone area. We arrived August 2011 to move our daughter into college. The staff were so very helpfull. They assisted in helping us back into our site and get things straight. We were camping in a pop-up and had to re-position it due to the level of the ground. But this is expected... More

This was our first time here, but not our last. We tent camped...great tent sites, great showers and bathrooms very clean. water and electric hookup no extra charge ...One other really good thing was that there was no extra charge for fire pit - the KOA charge $10 for fire pits

Since our last visit for the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games, not much has changed. The bathrooms and the cabin could have been cleaner this time. But the cabin/tent loop is still a great place for kids, with the creek, playground and wooded hill right outside your door. My son loved it. The folks running the place were cool about our... More
