The accommodations were very nice, breakfast was outstanding and the inn keepers very knowledgable about the area. All of their food recommendations were excellent. Would definitely stay here should I return to Asheville!

My husband and I were able to make last minute reservations to stay at the Hawk and Ivy as a stop-over en route to our true destination further north...about 300 miles further north actually. We were so happy and relaxed, and frankly in awe of the natural beauty, with staying here that we cancelled the remainder of our trip in... More

We just got back from 5 nights in Hawk and Ivey. We stayed in the first floor cottage which was very clean, had a kitchen and a deck with the view of the mountains. Both James and Eve were wonderful hosts and breakfast was superb every morning. They even went through a lot of trouble to accomodate my son's allergies... More

I took my mom to the Hawk and Ivy for a Mother's day weekend getaway in May 2010. (been meaning to do a review!) When I found this B&B online, the main draw for me was the mountain scenery/retreat type feel and the organic food offerings. Eve and James (owners of the Hawk and Ivy) are truly delightful people. Sweet,... More

My weekend stay at the Hawk & Ivy Bed & Breakfast was a quaint and old-fashioned experience of country sided hospitality. Staying in the Hawk & Ivy guest cottage surrounded by cozy furnishings, family antiques, and original paintings felt charming and pleasant. I especially want to compliment James and Eve on their delicious gourmet breakfasts thoughtfully prepared and their enjoyable... More

It is a lovely B&B that is well run and the meadow was amazing for a simple wedding. Of particular note is the delicious breakfasts provided by James and Eve who run the place as... More

My Husband and I have stayed at the Hawk & Ivy several times and love the sweet serene setting. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and provide a great space to slow down and enjoy the solitude of nature. James and Eve are wonderful hosts and make a fabulous organic, vegetarian-friendly breakfast each morning! We have always found the accommodations... More

We went to the Hawk and Ivy a few years ago as a couple and had such a magical time. Ever since that visit I have wanted to return. As a Christmas gift, my husband gave us a 3 night stay at the inn. We went up in January with kids and had an amazing time. Sledding on the hill... More

We stayed at the Hawk & Ivy while visiting with family members who live nearby. It turned out to be much more than just a place to stay – it was an experience. Eve and James were wonderful hosts and made us feel at home from the start. The flowers and grounds were absolutely beautiful in spite of a prolonged... More

From the second you arrive at this lovely Bed & Breakfast, you feel like you are visiting your favorite aunt & uncle (Eve & James) I stayed in the roomy suite with a kitchen and views of the serene meadow in back yard. The dog Nell and James walked me to my room. Eve & James make the most wonderful... More
