First time I ever did a BandB so was not sure what to expect. The complimentary breakfast was basic but nice to have access to. juice, coffe, fruit, muffins, and yogurt. Our room had steam heat radiators that clanked and whistled, and did wake me up, but I am a very light sleeper so to be expected. Private bath, hot... More

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived- was very charming, clean, welcoming... Loved the Keurig, at our disposal night & day! Beds were comfortable, bathroom clean, and the staff was very nice- I think her name was Claudette. It was right in the middle of town, and the free parking in the back of the building was a bonus. We... More

I stayed in Room 11. I think the theme of the room was my favorite color - Lavender. I loved the furnishings, very thoughtful! I spotted a few things that nicely reminded me of things in my grandmother's house, which I had forgotten about over time. The room had big windows, and was light and airy. Being that it was... More

This is a beautifully appointed, cozy place where my grandmother would have felt right at home, as did we. It's walking distance to most everything you might want to see, every place you might want to eat in town. Four parking spaces behind the house are a big bonus too. If we head back to Woodstock for anything longer than... More

The Twin Gables is the perfect little time warp of a place with antique furnishings and charm without the interference of the 21 century. I was looking for a peaceful contemplative place to stay while at a painting workshop at the Woodstock School of the Arts, and this was the perfect solution. I welcomed the lack of TV, phones, and... My husband and I like to take a weekend getaway once a year to celebrate our anniversary. So far, Twin Gables is our favorite. We stayed in room 12 which has a wonderful 4-poster king-size bed which was comfy and just the right firmness. There is also a desk (where you can use your free internet access) and “living room”... I spent three days and two nights at this charming guest house on Tinker Street just beyond the heart of Woodstock. I say 'just beyond' because the Twin Gables, standing on the main street of the village, is not exactly in its center--but a little up the road. This gives the traveller a feeling of being both in Woodstock and... More

If location is your priority, this is the place to stay in Woodstock. It had a certain Woodstock feel to it as well - strange, musty smells and a very laid back mood. On the downside, our room really did have an unappealing odor; maybe it was old incense. Also, we could have used a lot more towels, especially since... More

They seem to think of everything here. Really clean, friendly and relaxed. Highly recommend if you want to hike /antique visit the Catskills and don't want to spend all your $ on accommodations.

A very nice B&B in a great little town. Plus points: * Very clean * Centrally located in Woodstock so easy to reach and easily walkable around the town * Lots of pamphlets of things to do in the B&B * Complementary tea and coffee * Residents' lounge Minus points * I'd only rate breakfast as "reasonable" (muffins, yogurt, fruit)...
