Only stayed one night, found the apartment to be bright, clean, spacious...... very comfortable. Lots of amenities. Friendly staff, very quick and efficient check in. The views are stunning! Stayed here for one night in late March. The apartment was located upstairs on the first floor. There was an external stairway to a common walkway with the front doors of the units opening onto the walkway. No lift. The apartment was very clean, modern and appealing looking. We made the booking the day before we arrived via phone and were happy with our decision as we were on the road travelling when the booking was made and had never been to whitianga before, the apartment was nice and clean and mordern, the kitchen was equipped with a stove top and microwave, all cups etc were matching and... We stayed at Beachside Resort for 2 nights. Great location and price compared to others. Units appear almost new and have good quality fittings etc. Only downside is that there is no air conditioning or ceiling fans and it was quite warm for both of our nights.

Stay here as it is just down the road from town. 5m walk. Restaurants and bars. Rooms are great just like a motel. Great pool and free tennis rackets from reception. Another motel in the resort so a bit confusing when you arrive. Private gate to the famous Lost Spring at the back of the resort.

Found the Beachside Resort Whitianga to be not quite what was expected. . .The kitchen offered cutlery and plates, however they had not been washed properly from the last occupants and therefore needed to be washed again before we could eat off them. . .Overall, the unit wasn't the cleanest. Nice place, in a prime spot. Right across the road from the water front & a street along from the shops in the town centre. Nice receptionist. However there were ant's in our apartment, no air conditioning at all & no fans. Also SKY TV stopped working.
