The hosts are very friendly and the room modern and clean. We stayed in the detached cottage so the room is quiet and private. Bathroom spacious for this kind of accommodation. It's a short walk or an even shorter drive from the beach but not on a main road. Having free (hassle and cost!) internet access was amazingly useful and... More

We collected our keys from The Admiralty Motel as previously instructed when we booked and Andrea gave us directions, a map and pointed out local attractions. We found the acommodation easily on a quiet street to the rear of the main promenade. The Cottage was spacious, well decorated and furnished to a modern, high standard. The bed was very comfortable... More

We stayed three nights here. In my opinion this is not a B&B, more like part of the Admiralty Motel where you have to pick up the key. Payment in advance - also not common with B&B's in NZ. The cottage is OK but it is part of a separate building which also includes a garage. Breakfast is delivered on... More

We had a great stay at this B&B in a nice quite spot. It is located back from the main strip (short drive) and is a small unit added onto the front of an existing property. The accommodation was a very clean, modern facility, comfortable bed, good shower. They kindly lent us a shovel to use at the Hot Water... More

Lovely hosts AJ and Merle made our stay in Whitianga a pleasant one. The room was very clean, generously sized, with an eating area and a comfortable couch and flat screen TV. Although there was no WiFi in the room, we were able to borrow AJ's computer. We would happily stay here again.

This b & b takes the cake when it comes to cleanliness and hospitality. It does, however, need to define the word breakfast. A highlight of many b & b's in the UK is the full English breakfast so often made with local produce. A b & b or small hotel in Europe may include ham, and cheese and bread... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at AJ’s for 3 days/2 nights in February. Our room was a great size with a queen bed, sitting area with flat screen TV/couch, a wetbar area w/ fridge and an ensuite with a wonderful shower. We peeked into the other room – located within a private area of the owner’s home – and although... More
