We stayed in a double room and shared kitchen and shower with only two more guests, which was very luxurious! Wifi unfortunately only in the small reception, not in the room. Friendly laidback staff. We enjoyed our stay.

The staff were very friendly and it's in an excellent spot. There's lot of freebies, and they even upgraded us to ensuite for free as it was so quiet. A great place all round.

hostel is located right on the beach which is nice for people who surf or love hanging out there. the staff was nice and helpfull. we used their bruwsures to go to a bone carving workshop, and they explained to us patiently how to get to the hot water beach which is the main reason we came to whitianga. only... Right at the beach there is this colourfol hostel. Every floor has a couple of rooms and a communal kitchen and living room. It is clean and because of the communal spaces you can easily speak with other people. You do not have the feeling of beeing in a large hostel.
