It's about a 10 minute stroll through the hotel grounds to the beach, that was the only positive thing about our stay. The pub grub was indeed extremely grubby! We asked the kitchen staff (no chef) and they confirmed nothing is fresh..all food reheated from the freezer. We upgraded to a room with a shared balcony but that was a... More

Didn't stay here, but thank goodness, if the food at the restaurant is anything to go by, what a dump. Very expensive regular pub food which wasn't even very nice. Don't be fooled by the half price mains, because its only for locals. I didn't know you could stuff up bruschetta so bad, but apparently I was wrong

All good in terms of location, surroundings, food and rooms but the experience was ruined by the appalling noise emanating from some form of central air conditioning/ventilation system machinery to the rear of the building. It chugged and whirred from early morning until late at night so a lie in was ought of the question. Annoyingly, it appears that this... More

I cannot find the words to express the delight we all experienced on the occasion of our family Christmas Lunch in 2011. Every member of staff truly excelled on the day - in every respect. From the cheerful and genuine greeting on arrival, right through to the amazing array of great food... no one could have asked for more! The... More

We had our wedding at caves house yallingup in Nov 2011. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, It suited our vintage feel garden wedding perfectly. The food was fabulous, all our guests commented on how wonderful the 'wedding food' was and such big serves. The staff were just amazing and really helped our special day run smoothly. The bridal suite is... More

After driving down from Perth City and having driven and toured all day through the Margaret River area, we tried our luck at the Caves House Hotel,(November 7th 2011). There weren't any rooms available in the original hotel so we booked into a room in the Seashells Lodge, part of the estate. The suite of rooms was amazing. Modern ,fresh,clean... More

Do not stay here unless you have sensorineural deafness. Admittedly we booked a "wotif secret hotel" deal, but it was for a 4 star room, $170 for the night, set in 4.5 ha of tranquil landscaped gardens.... so you do not expect to be in a room directly above the bar full of rowdy drunks, with not a shred of... We had our wedding at Caves House in October 2011. The food was first class and so was the service before, throughout and after the event. The accommodation upstairs at the hotel was amazing and of great quality, especially the bridal suit. We highly recommend Caves House to anyone who are planning a wedding, the location and laid back feel... More
