Travelling from Margaret River to Mt. Barker - so many wonderful sights to see en route - stopped overnight in Walpole. Great Motel, very clean, reasonably priced, large rooms, fridge, coffee/tea etc. - very nice and would recommend heartily. Thank you.

We stayed one night on the spur of the moment while we were traveling on the South Coast. Room was very clean, had been updated and was very large. Bathroom and kitchenette were just what we needed. We experienced none of the rude behavior from management as noted on the reviews below, but we didn't eat in the restaurant or... More

I came here at the last minute. I was on a spur of the moment weekend getaway & the Walpole tourist bureau recommended it. The rooms were fine. clean & comfortable. The TV old. The meals in the restaurant were large but ordinary and too expensive. I wouldn't recommend eating there even if you were hungry.

Owners Laurie and Pauline Parkinson were rude, argumentative, dismissive about our complaints about the disgusting food that was served to us in the restraunt.we were told we were still paying for it no matter what. The motel is not a comfort inn anymore. There were cockroaches and ants in the room.No foxtel.

Very american style rooms and layout outside..could park directly outside room..which we had room 6...Basic usual expected amenities, room very clean and looks to have recently refurbished. Bed had electric under blanket, so warm cosy and confortable, a really good rest can be enjoyed. very spacious and more then acceptable for motel short stop....Swimming pool was too cold to use... Would reiterate what other reviewers have said about the couple that run the place- they were unfriendly and rude. Would not recommend it.

We stopped in Walepole as it was near the Land of the Giants, Tree Top Walk that we wanted to do the next day. We chose this motel basically on name. We went in to get a room for 3 adults. They gave us a family room so that we would have privacy. The room looked lovely with the wooden... More

This hotel is nice enough and what you'd expect from the price is what you'll get. Unfortunately we had a real "faulty towers" experience with the manager. We were there on business and our travel person had sent through a purchase order. The manager couldnt understand this and thought we were part of another business group that was staying there,... The motel itself is quite o. k., nothing to complain about. Well, the furniture is not the newest, but I don't want to nit-pick. The crux of the matter it this terrible couple which is obviously managing the motel. We were complaining about a poor kangoroo filet. That was enough to let the managers totally loose their temper. We were... More

We were in Walpole on a flying trip with our 12 year old son. We booked a family room knowing that the room was $180. Pretty basic but it was comfortable, but really $180 is pretty steep for what you get. Made a reservation then cancelled after checking out the prices, absolutely ridiculous...ended up at the local pub, had a... More
