I stayed for a few days at the Royal Mail Hotel as I had work in that area. I have stayed there before and the whole place in general has come a long way. I found the room to be fairly clean, a lot better then most of the outback places I have stayed. They have a new chef who... More

I stayed here on the way through to headland and was pleasantly suprised at how much we enjoyed ourselves. The rooms are basic motel style units next door but were clean and fairly large and the food was generous in its helpings. The staff were faultless and really made our stay and we enjoyed a few drinks in the bar... More

I didn't expect much as it is after all, in Meekatharra. However the Royal Mail fell well short of even the lowest expectations. Firstly, the single room I booked did not have a single light fitting working and the front window was broken but at least had the flyscreen to keep insects out. Nevermind to remedy this the bathroom window... More

We didn't expect too much for the price $115.00 per night, however there is no excuse for not meeting the basic standards of health and cleanliness. Obvious, the toilet had not been cleaned, bathroom walls and floor filthy, and whatever was stuck on the floor, ( looked like faeces) could stay there as I wasn't brave enough to confirm this.... We stayed here just passing though on our way back to work in the West Kimberlies. When you stay in Meekatharra and pay $115 for a double room you expect a donga and that's about it! Surprisingly it was actually a bit better than expected. When we got there it had just rained and the power was out but the... More

I have stayed in a few outback hotels and must say the service at this one was excellent. Staff were very friendly and I had a great night in the bar. Although the rooms are old they were very clean and the tucka was good pub food after a hard days work. I'll definitely be popping in again if I... More

Hiya, this hotel is fine, I can't complain, it has a lively pub, great food, and I had a good night sleep. I was there for work, had a good hot breakfast in the morning before I left. As most hotels in the outback it is off the main road. I understand management and staff has changed since September, rooms... More

Stayed here for one night as a stopover driving back to Perth from up in the Northwest, what a mistake. The motel rooms can at best be described as portakabins in a fenced compound to the side of the main building, looking fairly derelict from the outside. We ate a meal in the restaurant which was ok although the place... More

Motel shower recess was filthy and toilet bowl was stained. No attempt had been made to clean them for some time. The TV required an antenna connection cable. It took several requests and over 24 hours for one to be supplied. The evening meals appear to be precooked and reheated as required. The quality is below average. No cooked breakfast... More
