We have just completed a week stay at the Karina Mews B&B in the King Suite. We can thoroughly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a well appointed, quiet and comfortable place to stay. It is away from the noise and traffic of the main street, but only a fe minutes walk to shops restaurants and pub and the beach. The pool would be great in summer. Our special thanks to Chris and Mac for their hospitality and the extras like home made cake and jams etc. They are a delightful couple who made us very welcome. The breakfasts were healthy and copious. We have lots of praise and absolutely no complaints about this B&B. Go there. You will not be disappointed.

Not much more to add to other people's reviews - everything they say is true. Chris and Mac are just the most superb hosts, really enjoyed our chats with them. The breakfast is fantastic, much more than you would expect from a standard B&B continental breakfast and you always have leftover fruit to munch on during the day, not to mention Chris' amazing cakes. We stayed in the Queen Room, and whilst it is definitely smaller than the King, it is not small by any stretch of the imagination. We were perfectly comfortable and would happily book the same room. The bathroom is HUGE. Hoping to be back ASAP!

Karina Mews took us by surprise. We both loved the hospitality and friendliness that Chris and Mac provided, and Mac is very knowledgeable on where to eat, and the things to do. We booked the bigger room, and were pleasantly surprised with the space that came with the bathroom! Chris and Mac were very thoughtful too, to provide us with fly-nets to use when we went hiking at Kalbarri National Park (unfortunately we forgot to take them along with us!). Food was provided with the fridge well-stocked for breakfast. We had a BBQ in our unit and used it to cook most meals. Very thankful for Chris' hospitality as she provided us with more utensils and cooking equipment! All in all, a very memorable stay for us, and would definitely be back again when we take the (arduous) drive up North! - Marc & Michelle

We spent 3 nights at Karina Mews B&B over the long weekend and found it to be a nice relaxing and central place to stay. Chris and Max did more than enough to make us feel welcome and the continental breakfast with homemade jams, yoghurt etc was a nice start to a day. Certainly worth considering if your heading up that way. The best bit was we could take our dog with us, which made our trip. Thanks guys.

We head to Karina Mews B&B to escape the cold winter of Perth and the place gave us what we need and more! We booked the King Spa Suite and quickly made ourselves at home when we arrived after a 7 hours long drive from the city. Chris and Mac welcomed us, gave us useful tips about where to go to eat and what to do, and we get to greet the infamous Teddy! Karina Mews B&B is situated close to the Kalbarri town centre, within walking distance (if you wish) to the restaurants, groceries store and other amenities, as well as the beach a number of small and quiet lookout points. As a fan of everything sweet, Chris and Mac's self-service breakfast which includes a selection of homemade jams and yoghurts are the perfect things to wake up to! There is an electric BBQ right outside the suite which was handy for one of the nights when we were too lazy to go anywhere. And, oh the spa gave us the 5-star treatment at the comfort and privacy of our own place! We would like to record our heartiest thanks to Chris and Mac for treating us almost like a family, lending us the snorkeling gear and giving us many useful advise about the national parks and snorkeling spots in Kalbarri. We're pretty sure we'll make Karina Mews our home again for our next trip!

We stayed with Chris and Mac for two days back in August whilst on a road trip North. After a few hours of driving from Perth, Chris welcomed us in with tea and biscuits and we felt like we were at home. The B&B was spacious, clean and tidy. A good selection for breakfast and the carrot cake was excellent. Chris and Mac gave us some good tips on places/times to visit. Next time we are in Kalbarri we'll being looking to stay here again.

from the minute we arrived, both chris and mac and of course (teddy) made us very welcome. chris made us tea/coffee and carrot cake, which was much appreciated after 7 hours drive. mac told us all we needed to know about kalbarri, and the best places to eat etc etc. teddy was in instant hit with all of us.(big sook) the rooms were spotless and well presented, and the fridge was well stocked with milk. fresh fruit and yogurt, and a good selection of jams and marmalade, croissants, and bread for toasting. the bathrooms had towels/ soaps and candles we stayed in the queen room which was very comfortable, and my brother and his wife stayed in the king room, they were over the moon with everything as well. and coming from a seaside holiday resort in ireland, had never seen anything like it. chris even gave them a gift to take back to ireland with them. which was sweet. we were going out on a river cruise and mac was kind enough to lend me on of his jackets. to any body planning a quiet relaxing break. forget the negative reviews posted on this website, which appears that them people wanted 5 star hotel facilities at b&b prices. (get back to the real world people) karina mews b&b with first class service and hospitality. go on try it you wont be disappointed. patrick and dorothy mulreany perth western australia

I have just returned to work after a blissful week staying at the Karina Mews. My daughter and her partner "discovered" the place a few years ago and have made so many comments about how wonderful a place it is to stay, that I decided to try it for myself to give my partner 5 days of tranquility for his 50th birthday. As soon as we entered the property, we felt at home instantly, and the owners are the most beautiful people we have ever had the fortune to meet. The family labradoodle dog named "teddy" quite appropriately, also welcomed us and was a joy to have around - and not too boisterous either. Just perfectly friendly. The accommodation is beautifully presented and both queen and king suites have a perfectly situated outlook overlooking the pool and have their own private entrances and patios where you can eat or bbq as you wish. The king is the one we stayed in and does have more room than the queen and has a spa bath. Both rooms have a tv/dvd and are immaculately presented. The daily continental breakfast is enough to cover breakfast and picnic lunch if you wish and included muesli, croissants, bread for toasting or sandwiches, fresh fruit salad, home made yoghurt and home made preserves. We could not eat everything presented every day and to cover lunch too was a bonus some days. Chris also gave us home made savoury muffins to die for. One day when we bought steak to bbq for tea, the owners had planned the same so invited us to have a bbq all together which was so lovely. On the day of my partners 50th birthday we ended up with Chris and Mac in the local tavern where they had organised a function - being involved in the local community. We had a wonderful meal and karaoke night with them, and Chris even managed to my delight arrange to have the entire tavern singing happy birthday to my partner. This break has been so relaxing and it was so wonderful to feel so much at home and part of the family as soon as we arrived. Chris and Mac are such wonderful, caring, and giving people and nothing is too much trouble for them. We won't be staying anywhere else in Kalbarri, and my partner who doesn't normally plan things in advance, told the owners after only a couple of days that we would we back. I can see why my daughter loves this place so much, and we intend to be regular visitors of this home away from home. You will not regret booking this accommodation.
