We arrived very tired and were expecting the usual basic motel accommodation. The only recommendation that Lakes Forbes has is it's cleanliness. Our standard room was claustrophobically small and uncomfortable and the bathroom was unbelieveably tiny as to be almost unusable. Very very basic in all aspects.

Half way between Melbourne and Queensland this motel was the ideal stopover. We had a cool, comfortable, clean room overlooking a reserve and the Forbes Lake. Stayed in the family room which was well set out and enough room for 5 though being on the top floor ment noise had to kept down. Hard with young kids.
