we've recently stayed in this hotel for a week and we don't have a bad word against it. the room was fantastic and big enough for everybody. the staff was really friendly and overall we had a great time! the island was beautiful and we will definately be revisiting!

We stayed in the newly refurbished cottages beautifully decorated and appointed with amazing views over the water, sandy beaches and Islands beyond. The staff were all excellent and so friendly and helpful and the food was superb, can't wait to visit this hotel again. More sunshine would have been perfection, but Tresco is an Island off the UK!!

If you are (or aspire to be) upper middle class, you'll probably find no destination in, or near, Engand so closely in line with your prejudices as Tresco - the Scilly owned (well, leased) and run by one family for over 150 years. It is quite different in character from its more democratic neighbours, and perfect for carefree seaside holidays…...

This hotel is in desperate need of an overhaul, not just fixtures and fittings but staff too. The problem is complacency, they have no competitors to keep them on their toes. The best thing about this hotel was the stunning view from our room. We had to chase up on our laundry being returned, our helicopter booking was messed up...

Apart from Tresco being the UKs own tropical island with glorious white sandy beaches, just like coral, balmy climate and thousands of tropical plants & trees it also has one of the best & professionally run hotels in Europe. Expensive, Yes, but value for money! The bedrooms & suites are beautifully decorated, with a bottle of real bubbly on arrival,...

Not what we were expecting for a 4* hotel. The dining room completely out of date, along with the corridor to some of the garden facing bedrooms, passing bags of dirty laundry on the way to our room, rusty bath taps and radiators. The island is a special location, but will not be returning to the hotel, very over priced.

The views from this hotel are spectacular, so even if the weather isn't good, you can sit in the lounge and watch the world go by, we stayed in the 'menavour' suite, fantastic as is the 'golden ball' suite.
The only slight down side is the choice of food on the menu, but the hotel is buidling a new restaurant...

We have today returned from the Island Hotel Tresco. Everything about our stay was first class and we cannot praise it highly enough. I cannot think of one other hotel that we have stayed in where the staff have been so cheerful, courteous and helpful. The food was first class, every meal was excellent with more than enough choice. The...
