At the top of the town with a breeze, the modern layout is slightly confusing but the rooms and restaurant are good. The staff are helpful and responsive even if not much english spoken. Pontevedra itself is a charming town of many old churches and some great tapas bars.

This is a beautiful building--a palace belonging to a count, I believe. Our room was spacious and breakfast and dinner (on the terrace) were very good. The only problem was parking. There's room for about 10 cars only and maneuvering into a spot requires a lot of skill. We parked in a public garage a 10-minute walk away.

There was nothing particularly wrong with this characterful building and the staff were very helpful. However, the main retaurant was disappointing compared with Monforte.
