My husband and I stayed in this hotel in late November for 2 nights. We were travelling with friends, so we had 2 rooms in the hotel. The room was very old, but refurbished with modern conveniences. It was very clean. It was very centrally located in the town of Saint-Emilion. The hotel was priced very reasonably. I am not... More

We stayed for one night with our two teenagers (14 and 19). The hotel was just what we were looking for, and had the advantage of a very good value duplex where we had one entrance, but two bedrooms -one double and one twin. I looked at other hotels in Saint Emilion but they seemed very expensive for an overnight... More

We stayed here when other B&Bs with more character (we thought) were unavailable, but it turns out we were really pleased with our stay. The location is unbeatable and I don't think you'd get anywhere else at this standard at such good value. Really helpful staff too. The decor is a bit unusual but it's clean and comfortable and if... Do not expect luxury, but the hotel is clean, the rooms are nice - but small. The service is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in room nr 2 with a lovely view towards the wineyards. More

We were driving from Brittany to Provence and St. Emilion was the perfect half-way point to stop overnight. Picked Auberge de la Commanderie based on TA reviews and guidebook recommendations. It was completely fine, I guess - neither terrible nor amazing. Location is great, staff is very nice and helpful and speak good English (like everyone in St. Emilion, which... More

St Emilion is a beautiful village and is seemingly all about wine. We booked our stay at Auberge de la Commanderie a day in advance via my ipad and received a prompt response/confirmation. Not knowing the area, it was a bit of a challenge finding our way to the hotel and the remote parking lot. There are some very narrow... More

Just returned from St Emilion, stayed there for 1 night across the street in their 2 bedroom suite, it's the first and second floor with the balcony. Free parking, The suite was quite nice, very large bathroom and good size bedrooms. Staff was friendly, great place to stroll down to explore the village and eat at the many restaurants closeby... We had room 8, facing the vineyard and on the top floor. The room is decent sized with a good clean bathroom. The location is right in the village of Saint Emilion, but very peaceful for sleeping as the room faces the vineyard at the back. At €90 per night, it is a bargain for a nice hotel in the... More

2 nights here in March. We had a family room in the annexe across the road. Basic room but very large especially for 2 people and at only €90 you can't complain too much. Bed was just a piece of very firm foam so not really all that comfy but acceptable. We only had breakfast on one day and it... More

We paid less than $100 a night for our room in a converted medieval building convenient to the most interesting sites in this charming village. While the room was small by American standards, it's typical of France. The bathroom was a pleasant surprise-- it might have been bigger than the room, and there was an oversize tub (though no shower... More
