First time in France. All staff provided impeccable service, but an extra special mention goes to the restaurant staff. Grounds are stunning. Great place to tour right bank Chateaus in Bordeaux region.

The Chateau/hotel was nothing less than what we expected from a 4+ star hotel, restaurant and spa. The front desk was more than accommodating and was eager to please including arranging to meet vintners and tour chateau cellars. The wine and food at the restaurant was superior and the beauty of the chateau and property magnificent.

Had 2 fantastic nights here. The rooms are spotless, large, and very elegant. The toilet and shower and seperate within your room for privacy. In Paris our room wasn't available either because of our very early arrival but they were very gracious and offered us a complimentary breakfast while we waited. We had a wonderful stay at Chateau Grand Barrail. We were lucky to stay four nights. Our room was a large renovated room in the annex, with a terrace overlooking the vineyards. We loved ordering breakfast in every morning. Unfortunately, for two of our nights a guest nearby smoked cigarettes outside, and the breeze carried it over to our terrace.... More
