This hotel has it all. We wanted to be in the town of St. Emilion in order to wander the cobblestoned streets and not worry about parking or driving anywhere after eating and drinking those famous wines! The prices are high but so is the value. We stayed two nights in a large, twin-bedded room which had its own terrace...

I stayed here for two nights, eating dinner in the restaurant for one of those two nights. I cannot say that I found one fault with the hotel. From the staff to the food to the rooms, it was worth the price and I would have gladly stayed many more days.
Pros:
Location. It is in the center of town...

A true 5* experience from the welcome to the enormous and sumptuous rooms, the fabulous breakfast and the delicious dinner. Perched on top of the hill the views are spectacular and you are right amongst the cobbled streets for a wander. No where better to stay, or eat, on the Right Bank.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and enjoyed dinner here every time. Having had the good fortune to stay in many of the top hotels in France, I would have to say that while it is not cheap, it is most certainly value for money and on a par with the very best in France. You can perhaps...

My wife and I spent two nights here in October. It was my second visit, and I knew this is where we needed to be. Situated at the top of an ancient and picturesque hill town, the views are amazing. The hotel is magnificent, with service to match. The housekeeping was over the top. I had to take a photo...

The hotel is undeniabely stunning. The town is so charming, I compare it to a French version of Orvieto.
Our room (Cheval Blanc) was gorgeous, with a huge terrace with jaw dropping views.
The service was very good, particularly at the front desk. The gentleman who was working in the dining room wasn't particularly friendly, but it may have been...

Since I like to complain about something, despite the title of my review, parking can be a challenge, even though the hotel will park your car for you. I wonder why didn’t they think about parking when they were building the town on the middle ages.
Now, for the good part: FOOD, LOCATION, GREAT SERVICE, everything, except parking.
Pity we...

Beautiful hotel superb location right in town, with a jaw dropping view from the terrace.
Had a wonderful meal in the restaurant and the best service imaginable. Only 1 complaint, our party had 3 rooms and all three were too hot even with the AC on. 1 room had a portable AC unit delivered, and the other 2 rooms were...

My husband and I recently returned from a Denmark/France trip for a friend's wedding in Denmark, and afterward we joined several friends for 4 nights at the Hostellerie de Plaisance to visit St. Emilion and the Bordeaux wine region. For comparative purposes, we also stayed 2 nights at the Nimb in Copenhagen; 2 nights at Bromoelle Kro in Denmark, site...
