My two nine year old children and I travel to Hacienda Santa and spent three lovely days full of adventure and excitement. Upon arrival we were served "canelazos", a regional drink which was delicious and a perfect drink for a cold afternoon. The drink for the children was alcohol free and equally tasty, and they still talk about it. After... More

Hacienda Santa Ana is a peaceful and beautiful haven near the Cotopaxi National Park, and we couldn't have asked for a more wonderfully warm place to stay. The hacienda is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the service is amazing, the food is delicious. Our host, Luis, could not have been more kind and helpful. As our young daughter... We stayed 2 nights, 3 days at Hacienda Santa Ana. We chose the place after comparing with some of the more established/well known places near Cotopaxi. The prices were a little higher, but Santa Ana really exceeded all our expectations. We arrived by bus to the nearby town of Machachi, and from there hired a driver with a 4x4 for... More

We were on a birdwatching trip around the highlands in Ecuador. Hacienda Santa Ana was arranged for us by our tour company and it turned out to be a perfect base for exploration of the Cotopaxi national park. After 10km of rather bumpy, in places steep, cobbled road the hacienda comes into view. The welcome and warmth of the reception... More

Santa Ana de Cotopaxi was amazing! It is a very special place surrounded by nature. The house itself brings u back to simpler times, while giving you a history lesson for free. The rooms are very very clean, the bathroom is new with modern fixtures. There are several activities to do, such as horseback riding, fishing, canopy... The sourroundings are... More

We arrived at Hacienda Santa Ana after a long day visiting Quilatoa Crater, and it had rained and hailed so we were cold and tired. Our tour company had picked the spot for us, and we were getting a bit worried as we bumped along the volcanic-rock paved back roads. Our driver wasn't really sure where the place was, and... More

From the moment we arrived at Hacienda Santa Ana we were relaxed and felt at home. The open fire and warm drink brought to us by Patricio followed by Miguel, the owner, sharing his family's involvement in the Hacienda were lovely personal touches. Originally a Jesuit retreat, in opening the Hacienda as a hotel the family decided to develop a... More

When you arrive from Quito at the Hacienda Santa Ana, you feel like coming to paradise. A very friendly stuff welcomes you and you smell already the the open fire place in the saloon. Bedrooms, saloon and dining room are wonderful decorated. In the night, when it is cold and you go to bed, you will find a hot water... More

I extended my trip to Ecuador to see this hotel on the recommendation of another hotelier in the South of Ecuador. I was not disappointed. The hotel is located in a beautiful, serene setting in what was once a Jesuit monastery. The hacienda has been carefully renovated, sparing no expense. An ambient heating system was installed underneath the beautiful tile... More

Staying at the Hacienda Santa Ana was one of the highlights of our trip to Ecuador. We really enjoyed this hotel and the beauty of area. The staff is absolutely superb and the food was wonderful. We went on a hike our first day at the hotel and a ride on the second. Our guides were great as well. Miguel... More
