The hotel is clean, located at a very convenient place which is just a few min away from everything.. The hotel staff are friendly, especially Mama Jusa and her daughter, very helpful and with an outgoing personality.. Mr Ali was also a great help.. The breakfast served was also fresh and prepared as per guests' request.. We stayed 2 nights... More

I stayed two nights at Funguni Palace. It was Ok, but nothing special. The room had AC, fans, a mosquito net and was self-contained but quite dark and not very pleasant. The pictures of the website are clearly overselling the hotel, maybe that's why I was disappointed when I saw the room. I was tempted to change after the first... More

We stayed at this hotel 3 nights. The price was great along with the service. Mr. Ali was extremely helpful in helping us book tours and flights. The breakfast was really good, with a nice roof top terrace. I recommend this place for anybody looking for a clean and comfortable atmosphere. The location is great, just a few minutes walk... More

Clean, air conditioned room and friendly staff- what more can you ask for in this price range? I ended up spending four nights here after only planning on being here for one. I regret not making use of their recommended tour guided because I got ripped off following my own nose around the island. oh- I forgot to mention that... More

Funguni Palace Hotel was an affordable and convenient location from which to explore Stone Town. It's an easy and well-lit walk to Fordhani Gardens for supper in the evenings, which is Stone Town at its best. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and welcomed us in as family. Air-conditioning was definitely a bonus in the stifling heat of summer!
