We stayed at this lodge only for 1 night during our safari, beautiful views from the infinity pool and lovely grounds. Rooms very clean, but felt a bit small compared to other Serena Lodges we stayed at. Only problem was that our friends room although very clean with fresh bedding etc seemed to have quite a few bugs which came...

Beautiful location, stupendous views. Rooms were clean and spacious. Lovely grounds with wonderful vegetation. The view from the infinity pool was unbelievable! Enjoyed the afternoon off relaxing by the pool with friends. Friendly, helpful staff. in all areas of the lodge. Food was good.
The views from Lake Manyara Serena Loge were stunning. However, I wasn't very impressed with much else in comparison to the other places we stayed on our safari. The rooms were clean, but small and outdated. The staff was not as friendly as they were at many of the other lodges. The drive is nice and short into Lake Manyara...

This lodge is excellent. The price was very reasonable considering you get full board. Service and food quality amazing. Not every hotel you visit provides Champagne for breakfast - free!!. The views, room, pool and entertainment were excellent. The only drawaback is the price of drinks are a little expensive!! One tip, get up early and leave before the rush.
We spent one night here in March 2012. We spent time in three different Serena lodges. This one had one of the better restaurants. The room was adequate, but the floors were dirty. Otherwise, it was a nice location and the staff tried to please.
The hotel is situated at the top of a hill over looking Lake Manyara. It is a very pretty hotel but watch out for the mossies - I got bitten to pieces on my last day in Tanzania. I assume this was because of it's proximity to the lake.
The rooms were not huge compared to others we had had...

Ask for a good view from the room. The views over the Rift Valley, across the Lake are very memorable. The infinity pool is a real bonus, especially after a dusty, hot ride in the jeep around the park. The food was very good considering the isolated position. Do make allowances for the odd hickup...you are in the middle of Africa,...

This hotel was our last in Tanzania and was equally well ordered as our other Serena Lodges The food was good (Remember that this is Africa, do not expect Haute Cuisine) The pool was gorgeous after a 5 hour bumpy jeep ride
Was expecting a more luxurious accomodation and better food. The food in particular was not only uneventful, but over cooked and repetitive. Travelling from East to West from Arusha to the western edge of the Serengeti, we stayed at 4 Serene lodges: Mountain Lodge outside of Arusha, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro Crater. The food was equally bland and repetitive in...
