We had always wanted to go to the Hamptons to see what all the fuss was about, and know we know why, make the pilgrimage! Having made the trip over from Australia we were wise with our money as we wanted to travel around various parts of New York state and other regions on the east coast. When we looked... More

This is one of those hotels where the owners just don't care. I can't speak about the main house, but the other rooms in the courtyard area are pretty bad. I have stayed in many hotels around the country and there its not fair to charge prices and not deliver a service worthy of that price. I understand the Hamptons... More

We take great pride in maintaining our business. To say I don't care about my business is not true. Just ask any of the locals, or businesses that repeately stay with us. I tried to locate this guest, but could not confirm their identity. It could be a phantom guest, just out to start trouble. In this resort area,, we... More

I stayed at the Inn for 3 nights at the end of August with my husband and baby. We took a few days to just get away from the city and it was perfect. I was not expecting fancy or luxary so I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of our room and the nice hospitality of the people working... More

Thank You for this wonderful review. It feels great to get this kind of feedback. It also makes it all worthwhile when our guests feel like they are at home. We do try very hard to make our guests feel this way. Thanks Again! More

We have visited the Wainscott Inn for many years at least twice each year. We discovered it when we were looking for a place to stay that was conveniently located between Bridgehampton and East Hampton. Much to our absolute delight, we disscovered the Wainscott Inn. It was perfect for the two of us. A lovely studio room with a refrigerator,... More

I cannot comment on the hotel stay because I never got there, but I had a really horrifically frustrating and disappointing experience trying to make a reservation at this hotel. I called the hotel to get a rate quote for one night (going to Hamptons for a wedding) and Steve (said he is co-owner, would not give me his last... More

Wainscott Inn is probably among the lower priced accommodations in the Hamptons, which is why we stayed there. It's pleasant enough, located in a lovely setting and with good service -but only in the Hamptons would a place like this be able to charge $225/night! The motel-style room we stayed in was clean and large and the bed was comfortable.... More

and that was a central spot to lay our head. with that, my requirements are clean, safe, friendly. the old 'motel' side has been renovated. the shower was small for the average bear. don't expect to luxuriate in the shower, it's an in and out type of space. the tv was large and the a/c worked well. there were no... The Wainscott Inn has a lot going for it. Here is a partial list of what we really enjoy! 1. location, location, location, location!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is conveniently located between Bridgehampton and East Hampton. Also, a short drive to Southampton. 2.They will furnish you with a beach pass and you must use it at the beaches that are near by or... More

This place is pretty much a dump... I am not a fancy person, and am pretty easy to please. Holes in the blankets on bed, bugs on the bathroom ceiling, soiled carpeting, tiny TV stuck up in the corner of the room, terrible tiny shower with plastic walls that I could barely move around in. All this for $300 a... More

This guest never reported any problems to the management and has fabricated this info hoping for a refund. I have the same two maids working for 10 years, and they keep the place in great shape. I would have offered another room or his money back if he wasn't satisfied but he never approached the management or else we would... More

I have stayed at the Wainscott Inn several times in the past year the most recent being in April 2011. I highly recommend the Wainscott Inn for value and comfort. It is located about a mile east of Bridgehampton and about six miles from East Hampton. Although it is essentially a motel along Highway 27 it is situated on a... More
