Older hotel with a few rough edges, but overall a great stay at a good price. The room was much larger than your typical hotel. Quiet. Things were clean, and everything worked fine. If you're into older hotels with character and an interesting history, the Utica is the place for you. Yes, a few tiles are missing in the main... More

We arrived for a two day stay and were very impressed with the gorgeous lobby. Very grand and inspiring thoughts of how gorgeous it must have been in its heyday. It wouldn't take much to bring it back to that - perhaps new flooring and a decorator's touch. The dining room had beautiful bones with high ceilings and wonderful plaster... More

Some friends and I rented the master suite so that we could all travel in from different directions to see each other for the night. The suite was not at all what we expected. It was one large room, like a studio apartment, but without the kitchen. We rented the suite thinking we would have a larger space and some... More

We stayed here based on a recommendation and we couldn't have been more pleased. We typically stay at budget motels when we travel, so this was something different for us. Check in was great, and check out was OK. The room was clean and felt luxurious, even though it was small. The breakfast was OK - much better than some... More

Every year we go to Utica to celebrate our anniversary with friends. Hotel Utica is an essential part of that trip. The decor is classic and elegant. It feels like we are stepping back in time when travelers were treated like royalty, not cattle. The rooms are decadent. The beds are large and comfortable. This year, we were upgraded to... More

My husband and I love old hotels and we fell in love with Hotel Utica! Utica, the town, is pretty much a "blown out" town - all empty storefornts with "For Lease" and "For Sale" signs everywhere. And if we hadn't seen a nice review of Hotel Utica we would never have ventured into this lovingly restored gem. The main... More

If you're in Utica, this renovated landmark is more than charming. The rooms (I stayed in 606) was appointed with furniture resembling the "times" but more plush. The bedroom was dark and quiet. I say that in a positive way! You could sleep forever in the wonderful bed, no sunlight or streetlights glaring their way into the window and quiet.... More

We visited this hotel due to a Living Social deal. We loved it! They have done a great job of renovating this grand old hotel. Our room was huge, with 2 double beds. We had a small refrigerator, which was a pleasant surprise. I don't know if all rooms have them, tho. Dinner was great in their restaurant. We had... More

This renovated jewel is in the heart of downtown Utica. Plus - The desk staff is wonderful. I was pleased and grateful for the attention at the front both checking into and out of the hotel. They often make the difference, and they certainly did this time. Plus - The hotel is a classic. The renovations are wonderful and you... More
