The fifth-floor room had a good empty fridge, unobtrusive ventilation, shower with strong water pressure and adjustable head, ample closet, and views of State Street's refurbished culture district. I grew up in Schenectady but have not lived there for about 15 years. I was recently back for a business trip and decided to try the Hampton downtown. The hotel was very nice. There are a few options downtown close by to eat and drink at. Overall I was impressed. More

The hotel is very clean, and the staff is wonderful. They were very helpful in recommending nearby restaurants. The location in downtown Schenectady was great, too. This neighborhood is nice, with some great bars and restaurants. My only complaint is that the price was a bit high, but for a safe and clean neighborhood in Schenectady, it was worth it. More
